CVE-2026-68257 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-10 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: fix 32-bit overflow in CWSR total size calculation total_cwsr_size was computed in 32-bit before being used as a BO/SVM allocation size. With large ctx_save_restore_area_size and debug_memory_size multiplied by the XCC count, the product can wrap, yielding an undersized CWSR save area that firmware later overruns. Promote total_cwsr_size to u64 and use check_add_overflow()/ check_mul_overflow() in both kfd_queue_acquire_buffers() and kfd_queue_release_buffers(). CVE-2026-68093 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-10 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SVM: Bump asid_generation on CPU online to avoid ASID collision after hotplug If a vCPU stays scheduled out (or blocked) while the last pCPU it ran on goes through a hotplug cycle (online->offline->online), and the vCPU then resumes execution on the same pCPU, then it is possible for it to run with an ASID that has now been assigned to a different vCPU, resulting in stale TLB translations being used. svm_enable_virtualization_cpu() resets asid_generation to 1 and sets next_asid to max_asid + 1 on every CPU online event, including hotplug cycles. Because next_asid starts beyond the pool boundary, the first call to new_asid() after an online event always wraps the pool, incrementing asid_generation to 2 and assigning ASIDs starting from min_asid. Consider two vCPUs from different VMs, vCPU-A pinned to CPU-X holding asid_generation=2 and ASID=N from before the hotplug event: 1. CPU-X goes offline and back online: asid_generation resets to 1, next_asid = max_asid + 1. 2. One or more vCPUs migrate to CPU-X and call new_asid(), wrapping the pool and consuming ASIDs starting from min_asid. Eventually vCPU-B from a different VM is assigned asid_generation=2, ASID=N — the same ASID that vCPU-A held before the hotplug. 3. vCPU-A enters pre_svm_run() on CPU-X: current_vmcb->cpu is unchanged so the migration branch is skipped. Its saved asid_generation=2 matches sd->asid_generation=2, so the generation check silently passes and vCPU-A continues running with ASID=N — the same ASID just freshly assigned to vCPU-B. Both vCPUs from different VMs now run on CPU-X with the same ASID, causing them to share NPT TLB entries and producing stale translations. The collision manifests as a KVM internal error (Suberror: 1, emulation failure). The NPT page fault reports a faulting GPA far outside the VM's physical memory range — a sign of stale TLB translations being used. KVM falls back to instruction emulation, which fails on FPU/XSave instructions (XRSTOR, STMXCSR) that the emulator does not implement. Fix this by incrementing asid_generation instead of resetting it to 1 in svm_enable_virtualization_cpu(). On module load, asid_generation starts at 0 (memset) and the increment produces 1, identical to the old behaviour. On subsequent hotplug cycles the generation advances beyond any value a vCPU previously observed on this CPU, so the generation check in pre_svm_run() reliably forces new_asid() on every vCPU after every hotplug cycle.
CVE-2026-62296 1 Hapifhir 1 Hl7 Fhir Core 2026-08-10 7.5 High
HAPI FHIR is a complete implementation of the HL7 FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability in Java. Prior to 6.9.11, XhtmlParser.java imposes no maximum element nesting depth, so a deeply nested text.div narrative triggers unbounded recursion between parseElementInner() and parseElement(), raising a StackOverflowError. An attacker who can submit FHIR resources containing such narratives can thus crash a parsing or validation worker thread, affecting validator services and any application that parses attacker-supplied FHIR JSON or XML. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.11.
CVE-2026-62295 1 Hapifhir 1 Hl7 Fhir Core 2026-08-08 7.5 High
HAPI FHIR is a complete implementation of the HL7 FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability in Java. Prior to 6.9.11, the JSON utility parser in org.hl7.fhir.utilities.json.parser.JsonParser enforces no maximum nesting depth for arrays or objects. As a result, a small but deeply nested, syntactically valid FHIR JSON document can trigger unbounded readArray() or readObject() recursion, raising a StackOverflowError before structural validation runs. An attacker who can submit JSON resources for validation can thus crash the request thread, and services that do not isolate StackOverflowError safely may experience worker loss or process instability — a denial-of-service condition. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.11.
CVE-2026-67552 1 Apache 1 Qpid Proton Dotnet 2026-08-07 N/A
A pre-authentication attacker could leverage type nesting to cause a StackOverflowError potentially leading to denial of service. This issue affects Apache Qpid Proton-Dotnet through 1.0.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.1.0, which fixes the issue
CVE-2026-68481 1 Apache 1 Cxf 2026-08-07 7.5 High
In Apache CXF's DefaultEncryptingOAuthDataProvider, revoked access tokens still decrypt successfully, and TokenIntrospectionService reports active:true. The same applies to refresh tokens. This violates the RFC stipulations that 'The authorization server MUST invalidate the token.' and 'introspection of a revoked token MUST return {"active":false}'. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.3 or 4.1.8 or 3.6.12, which fix this issue.
CVE-2026-7656 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-08-06 8.1 High
The IPv6 Neighbor Discovery handlers in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c (handle_ra_input, handle_ns_input, handle_na_input) used an incorrect boolean expression that combined the RFC 4861 validity checks with the ICMPv6 code check using the wrong operator precedence: the form was ((length/hop/source/target checks) && (icmp_hdr->code != 0)). Because every legitimate ND message carries ICMPv6 code 0, an attacker setting code == 0 (the normal value) caused the entire predicate to evaluate false, so the packet was never dropped and all of the other checks were silently skipped. The bypassed checks include the mandatory Hop Limit == 255 verification (which proves an ND packet originated on-link and was not forwarded) and, for Router Advertisements, the requirement that the source be a link-local address, as well as multicast-target sanity checks. As a result, an adjacent on-link attacker — and, because the Hop-Limit-255 guard is bypassed, potentially a remote/off-link attacker whose packets would otherwise be rejected — can have forged Router Advertisement, Neighbor Solicitation, and Neighbor Advertisement messages accepted. A forged RA lets the attacker reconfigure the victim's default router, on-link prefixes (SLAAC), MTU, reachable/retransmit timers, and (with CONFIG_NET_IPV6_RA_RDNSS) DNS servers, while forged NS/NA enable neighbor-cache poisoning, enabling man-in-the-middle, traffic redirection, and denial of service. The flaw is an input-validation/authentication weakness rather than a memory-safety issue: the underlying packet-parsing primitives (net_pkt_get_data, net_pkt_read, net_pkt_skip) are independently bounds-safe and the validated length is the true buffer length, so skipping the length check causes no out-of-bounds access. The defect has existed since the logic was introduced in 2018 and shipped in all releases through v4.4.0; it is fixed by splitting the condition so any failing check drops the packet.
CVE-2026-32327 1 Apache 1 Portable Runtime Utility 2026-08-06 9.1 Critical
A bug in APR-util version 1.6.3 (and earlier) allows a stack recursion attack against any library consumer which parses XML from untrusted sources and uses the apr_xml_quote_elem() function. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.6.4, which fixes this issue.
CVE-2026-61483 1 Apache 1 Lucy 2026-08-06 7.5 High
** UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED ** Uncontrolled Recursion vulnerability in Apache Lucy. This issue affects Apache Lucy: all versions. As this project is retired, we do not plan to release a version that fixes this issue. Users are recommended to find an alternative or restrict access to the instance to trusted users. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.
CVE-2026-68073 1 Apache 1 Qpid Broker-j 2026-08-06 7.5 High
A pre-authentication attacker could leverage type nesting to cause a StackOverflowError potentially leading to denial of service. This issue affects Apache Qpid Broker-J: through 10.0.1. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 10.1.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-15996 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-08-06 N/A
A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause excessive CPU consumption and exhaust the pool of request-handling worker processes by sending a crafted form-encoded HTTP POST request containing deeply nested parameters. Because request parameters were parsed before routing and authentication, any POST endpoint could be used to trigger the condition, which could render the instance unresponsive. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.3, 3.19.7, 3.18.10, and 3.17.16.
CVE-2026-46714 1 Misskey 1 Misskey 2026-08-05 N/A
Misskey is an open source, federated social media platform. IVersions 8.63.0 and later, but prior to 2026.5.4, contain a vulnerability that can cause the Misskey web client to slow down or crash when it applies a malformed theme. This issue has been fixed in version 2026.5.4.
CVE-2026-67590 1 Apache 1 Qpid Proton-j 2026-08-05 N/A
A pre-authentication attacker could leverage type nesting to cause a StackOverflowError potentially leading to denial of service. This issue affects Apache Qpid ProtonJ2: through 1.1.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.2.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-66274 1 Apache 1 Qpid Proton-j 2026-08-05 7.5 High
A pre-authentication attacker could leverage type nesting to cause a StackOverflowError potentially leading to denial of service. This issue affects Apache Qpid Proton-J: through 0.34.1. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.35.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-4224 1 Python 2 Cpython, Python 2026-08-05 7.5 High
When an Expat parser with a registered ElementDeclHandler parses an inline document type definition containing a deeply nested content model a C stack overflow occurs.
CVE-2026-15830 1 Djangoproject 1 Django 2026-08-04 5.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Django 5.2 before 5.2.17 and 6.0 before 6.0.8. GeoDjango's `django.contrib.gis.geos.GEOSGeometry` is subject to a potential denial-of-service when parsing deeply nested `GEOMETRYCOLLECTION` objects supplied as well-known text (WKT), well-known binary (WKB), or hex-encoded WKB, which triggers unbounded recursion and a segmentation fault in the underlying GEOS library. Spatial field lookups and the `django.contrib.gis.forms.GeometryField` form field are also affected. Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.1.x, 5.0.x, and 4.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected. Django would like to thank Andrew MacPherson and kimchunbok_ for reporting this issue.
CVE-2024-57929 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm array: fix releasing a faulty array block twice in dm_array_cursor_end When dm_bm_read_lock() fails due to locking or checksum errors, it releases the faulty block implicitly while leaving an invalid output pointer behind. The caller of dm_bm_read_lock() should not operate on this invalid dm_block pointer, or it will lead to undefined result. For example, the dm_array_cursor incorrectly caches the invalid pointer on reading a faulty array block, causing a double release in dm_array_cursor_end(), then hitting the BUG_ON in dm-bufio cache_put(). CVE-2024-53090 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Fix lock recursion afs_wake_up_async_call() can incur lock recursion. The problem is that it is called from AF_RXRPC whilst holding the ->notify_lock, but it tries to take a ref on the afs_call struct in order to pass it to a work queue - but if the afs_call is already queued, we then have an extraneous ref that must be put... calling afs_put_call() may call back down into AF_RXRPC through rxrpc_kernel_shutdown_call(), however, which might try taking the ->notify_lock again. This case isn't very common, however, so defer it to a workqueue. The oops looks something like: BUG: spinlock recursion on CPU#0, krxrpcio/7001/1646 lock: 0xffff888141399b30, .magic: dead4ead, .owner: krxrpcio/7001/1646, .owner_cpu: 0 CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 1646 Comm: krxrpcio/7001 Not tainted 6.12.0-rc2-build3+ #4351 Hardware name: ASUS All Series/H97-PLUS, BIOS 2306 10/09/2014 Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x47/0x70 do_raw_spin_lock+0x3c/0x90 rxrpc_kernel_shutdown_call+0x83/0xb0 afs_put_call+0xd7/0x180 rxrpc_notify_socket+0xa0/0x190 rxrpc_input_split_jumbo+0x198/0x1d0 rxrpc_input_data+0x14b/0x1e0 ? rxrpc_input_call_packet+0xc2/0x1f0 rxrpc_input_call_event+0xad/0x6b0 rxrpc_input_packet_on_conn+0x1e1/0x210 rxrpc_input_packet+0x3f2/0x4d0 rxrpc_io_thread+0x243/0x410 ? __pfx_rxrpc_io_thread+0x10/0x10 kthread+0xcf/0xe0 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork+0x24/0x40 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 </TASK>
CVE-2024-53044 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_api: fix xa_insert() error path in tcf_block_get_ext() This command: $ tc qdisc replace dev eth0 ingress_block 1 egress_block 1 clsact Error: block dev insert failed: -EBUSY. fails because user space requests the same block index to be set for both ingress and egress. [ side note, I don't think it even failed prior to commit 913b47d3424e ("net/sched: Introduce tc block netdev tracking infra"), because this is a command from an old set of notes of mine which used to work, but alas, I did not scientifically bisect this ] The problem is not that it fails, but rather, that the second time around, it fails differently (and irrecoverably): $ tc qdisc replace dev eth0 ingress_block 1 egress_block 1 clsact Error: dsa_core: Flow block cb is busy. [ another note: the extack is added by me for illustration purposes. the context of the problem is that clsact_init() obtains the same &q->ingress_block pointer as &q->egress_block, and since we call tcf_block_get_ext() on both of them, "dev" will be added to the block->ports xarray twice, thus failing the operation: once through the ingress block pointer, and once again through the egress block pointer. the problem itself is that when xa_insert() fails, we have emitted a FLOW_BLOCK_BIND command through ndo_setup_tc(), but the offload never sees a corresponding FLOW_BLOCK_UNBIND. ] Even correcting the bad user input, we still cannot recover: $ tc qdisc replace dev swp3 ingress_block 1 egress_block 2 clsact Error: dsa_core: Flow block cb is busy. Basically the only way to recover is to reboot the system, or unbind and rebind the net device driver. To fix the bug, we need to fill the correct error teardown path which was missed during code movement, and call tcf_block_offload_unbind() when xa_insert() fails. [ last note, fundamentally I blame the label naming convention in tcf_block_get_ext() for the bug. The labels should be named after what they do, not after the error path that jumps to them. This way, it is obviously wrong that two labels pointing to the same code mean something is wrong, and checking the code correctness at the goto site is also easier ]
CVE-2024-49940 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: l2tp: prevent possible tunnel refcount underflow When a session is created, it sets a backpointer to its tunnel. When the session refcount drops to 0, l2tp_session_free drops the tunnel refcount if session->tunnel is non-NULL. However, session->tunnel is set in l2tp_session_create, before the tunnel refcount is incremented by l2tp_session_register, which leaves a small window where session->tunnel is non-NULL when the tunnel refcount hasn't been bumped. Moving the assignment to l2tp_session_register is trivial but l2tp_session_create calls l2tp_session_set_header_len which uses session->tunnel to get the tunnel's encap. Add an encap arg to l2tp_session_set_header_len to avoid using session->tunnel. If l2tpv3 sessions have colliding IDs, it is possible for l2tp_v3_session_get to race with l2tp_session_register and fetch a session which doesn't yet have session->tunnel set. Add a check for this case.
