CVSS v3.1 |
| Multiple vulnerabilities exist in OpenThread's handling of MLE packets. An authenticated attacker on the same Thread network could send specially crafted packets to cause a denial of service. These issues include triggerable assertion failures and a stack-based buffer overflow. |
| Improper protection against voltage and clock glitches vulnerability in Microchip SAMA5D4 allows Hardware Fault Injection.
This issue affects SAMA5D4. |
| The Zephyr virtio driver does not validate the descriptor-chain head id that the virtio device writes into the used ring. In virtio_isr() (drivers/virtio/virtio_common.c), the device-written vq->used->ring[idx].id is used directly as an index into vq->recv_cbs[] and vq->desc[], which are both allocated with exactly vq->num entries. recv_cbs[] holds {cb, opaque} callback entries, and the indexed callback pointer is then invoked as cbe.cb(cbe.opaque, used_len).
Because the id is consumed as a 16-bit value with no bound check, a malicious or compromised virtio backend (an untrusted hypervisor, or an untrusted hardware/peer-processor virtio device on a PCI or MMIO transport) can supply an id far beyond vq->num. This causes an out-of-bounds read of a {function pointer, argument} pair from heap memory beyond recv_cbs[], after which the driver calls that attacker-shaped pointer in the guest's interrupt context. No guest privileges or user interaction are required; the backend triggers it by writing the shared used ring and raising the queue interrupt.
The result is an arbitrary / attacker-influenced function-pointer call in the Zephyr guest, i.e. a control-flow-hijack primitive that can lead to code execution or, at minimum, a reliable crash. The fix rejects any used-ring id >= vq->num before indexing recv_cbs[]/desc[] or invoking the callback. This affects builds using CONFIG_VIRTIO with the PCI or MMIO transport. |
| Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. Prior to 8.9.7, the expandNppEnvironmentStrs function in PowerEditor/src/WinControls/StaticDialog/RunDlg/RunDlg.cpp copies a Notepad++ variable name between $( and ) into the fixed-size wchar_t str[MAX_PATH] stack buffer without bounding the m loop index, allowing a name of 260 or more characters to corrupt adjacent stack data, terminate the process through __report_gsfailure, and potentially execute code. This issue is fixed in version 8.9.7. |
| exceljs-hardened versions before 5.0.0 fail to neutralize leading equals, plus, minus, or at signs in cell values written to CSV output. Attackers who can influence exported cell values can inject formulas that execute when the CSV file is opened in a spreadsheet application, potentially exfiltrating data or performing other malicious actions. |
| HCL Hive is affected by a cryptographic primitive with a risky implementation which could allow an attacker unauthorized lateral compromise or widespread credential leakage if a single internal component is breached. |
| HCL Hive Keycloak IAM Instance is affected by insufficient granularity of access control which could allow an attacker unauthorized access to resources. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Konami's Metal Gear Online 3, originating from improper validation of lobby data fields related to kicked players. The affected function processes a list of kicked player identifiers using the lobby data key "kick_num" to determine the number of entries, and individual kicked player IDs supplied via keys in the format "kicked_id_%i". The function does not validate that "kick_num" falls within the expected bounds. The game design limits matches to a maximum of 16 players, and the corresponding buffer for storing kicked player IDs is sized accordingly. If "kick_num" exceeds this limit, the function continues writing the provided player IDs past the end of the intended buffer and into adjacent memory regions. These adjacent regions contain Steam callback handler structures responsible for processing lobby data updates, lobby messages, and other related events. By supplying an oversized "kick_num" value and appropriate "kicked_id_%i" fields, an attacker can overwrite fields within the callback handler structures, including function pointers and callback argument values. Successful exploitation may enable control-flow hijacking, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution within the game process. |
| Netis NC63 firmware through V3.0.0.3327 contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to overwrite saved stack state by submitting an oversized Base64-encoded password to the login handler in /bin/netis.cgi. Attackers can exploit the custom Base64 decoder's lack of output length validation against the fixed-size stack buffer to achieve remote code execution with root privileges, as the Boa web server executes the CGI environment as root. |
| Multiple DrayTek VigorAP models contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the apautotest function. The vulnerability is caused by missing length checks during memory copy operations involving the CMD6 field. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input, causing a denial of service or potentially executing arbitrary commands. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface. |
| A flaw was found in the file-pix (ESM) plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted PIX image file, the plugin allocates a Variable-Length Array (VLA) on the stack without proper bounds checking, causing an unbounded stack allocation followed by a 21-byte stack over-read. This can result in a denial of service due to stack exhaustion and a limited information disclosure of stack memory contents into an intermediate file. |
| LibVNCClient is a library for easy implementation of a VNC client. In versions 0.9.12 through 0.9.15, a malicious (or man-in-the-middle) VNC server can force a connecting `libvncclient` to write attacker-controlled data past the end of its framebuffer. This is an out-of-bounds heap write with attacker-controlled length, contents, and offset. It needs no authentication (the attacker
is the server), works in a default build with default settings, and fires from a single `FramebufferUpdate` the moment the victim connects. It crashes any client unconditionally (denial of service); we also demonstrated it overwriting an application callback pointer and redirecting execution to attacker-chosen code (code execution) under the default configuration. Commit 540332be3e0acc566fa64da6f1b4680c72c724dd patches the issue. |
| IBM AIX 7.2, and 7.3 and IBM PowerVM VIOS 4.1 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to a heap-based buffer overflow. |
| Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the acl_general_setup Add ACE function. The vulnerability is caused by copying the name field into a fixed-size buffer without length validation. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input, causing a denial of service or potentially executing arbitrary commands. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface. |
| Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the pingtrace function. The vulnerability is caused by missing length checks when the host, count, and interval fields are concatenated into a fixed-size buffer. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input, causing a denial of service or potentially executing arbitrary commands. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface. |
| luci-lib-px5g (LuCI) contains a heap-based buffer overflow in the native ASN.1 encoding routine asn1_add_obj (x509write.c) when signing a certificate with a 2040-bit RSA key. For a 255-byte signature, the BIT STRING allocation is computed from the DER length encoding of 255 bytes, but the payload written after prepending the unused-bits byte is 256 bytes, requiring one additional DER length octet. As a result the allocation is 259 bytes while the tag, length, unused-bits byte, and signature require 260 bytes, and the final memcpy writes one byte beyond the heap buffer. The overflow is reachable through the exported Lua interface via create_selfsigned(); whether it is remotely exploitable depends on the embedding application. The vulnerable code is present on the openwrt-18.06 through openwrt-25.12 release branches and is absent from master, where the luci-lib-px5g package has been removed rather than patched. |
| RaTeX is a KaTeX-compatible math rendering engine written in Rust. Prior to version 0.1.11, the public parser entrypoint `ratex_parser::parse(&str)` panics on the 9-byte input `\verbéxé` (i.e. `\verb` followed by the non-ASCII delimiter `é`). When handling a `\verb` command, the parser slices the verbatim argument with byte indices (`arg[1..arg.len() - 1]`); if the delimiter character is multibyte UTF-8, index `1` lands inside that character and Rust panics with *“byte index 1 is not a char boundary”*. Because RaTeX’s release profile sets `panic = "abort"` (`Cargo.toml:48`), the panic aborts the entire process — not just the current request/thread — making this a hard denial of service for any service that renders untrusted LaTeX. Version 0.1.11 fixes the issue. |
| IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to overwrite adjacent memory due to an integer underflow during bounds checking. |
| Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the mail_mailalert function. The vulnerability is caused by concatenating multiple smtpReceiver email addresses into a fixed-size buffer without checking the remaining buffer size. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input, causing a denial of service or potentially executing arbitrary commands. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface. |
| Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the acl_general_setup Edit ACE function. The vulnerability is caused by copying the name field into a fixed-size buffer without length validation. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input, causing a denial of service or potentially executing arbitrary commands. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface. |
