CVSS v3.1 |
A flaw was found in the USB redirector device (usb-redir) of QEMU. Small USB packets are combined into a single, large transfer request, to reduce the overhead and improve performance. The combined size of the bulk transfer is used to dynamically allocate a variable length array (VLA) on the stack without proper validation. Since the total size is not bounded, a malicious guest could use this flaw to influence the array length and cause the QEMU process to perform an excessive allocation on the stack, resulting in a denial of service.
A heap buffer overflow was found in the floppy disk emulator of QEMU up to 6.0.0 (including). It could occur in fdctrl_transfer_handler() in hw/block/fdc.c while processing DMA read data transfers from the floppy drive to the guest system. A privileged guest user could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process on the host resulting in DoS scenario, or potential information leakage from the host memory.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel in versions before 5.12. The value of internal.ndata, in the KVM API, is mapped to an array index, which can be updated by a user process at anytime which could lead to an out-of-bounds write. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity and system availability.
Shiftfs, an out-of-tree stacking file system included in Ubuntu Linux kernels, did not properly handle faults occurring during copy_from_user() correctly. These could lead to either a double-free situation or memory not being freed at all. An attacker could use this to cause a denial of service (kernel memory exhaustion) or gain privileges via executing arbitrary code. AKA ZDI-CAN-13562.
A flaw was found in the Nosy driver in the Linux kernel. This issue allows a device to be inserted twice into a doubly-linked list, leading to a use-after-free when one of these devices is removed. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability. Versions before kernel 5.12-rc6 are affected
The Deluge Web-UI is vulnerable to XSS through a crafted torrent file. The the data from torrent files is not properly sanitised as it's interpreted directly as HTML. Someone who supplies the user with a malicious torrent file can execute arbitrary Javascript code in the context of the user's browser session.
A potential stack overflow via infinite loop issue was found in various NIC emulators of QEMU in versions up to and including 5.2.0. The issue occurs in loopback mode of a NIC wherein reentrant DMA checks get bypassed. A guest user/process may use this flaw to consume CPU cycles or crash the QEMU process on the host resulting in DoS scenario.
A flaw was found in satellite. When giving granular permission related to the organization, other permissions allowing a user to view and manage other organizations are also granted. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.
The patch for CVE-2020-17380/CVE-2020-25085 was found to be ineffective, thus making QEMU vulnerable to the out-of-bounds read/write access issues previously found in the SDHCI controller emulation code. This flaw allows a malicious privileged guest to crash the QEMU process on the host, resulting in a denial of service or potential code execution. QEMU up to (including) 5.2.0 is affected by this.
An integer overflow and several buffer overflow reads in libyara/modules/macho/macho.c in YARA v4.0.3 and earlier could allow an attacker to either cause denial of service or information disclosure via a malicious Mach-O file. Affects all versions before libyara 4.0.4
RCE/DOS: Linked-list corruption leading to large out-of-bounds write while sorting for forged fragment list in Zephyr. Zephyr versions >= >=2.4.0 contain Out-of-bounds Write (CWE-787). For more information, see https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/security/advisories/GHSA-fj4r-373f-9456
Integer Underflow in 6LoWPAN IPHC Header Uncompression in Zephyr. Zephyr versions >= >=2.4.0 contain Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) (CWE-191). For more information, see https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/security/advisories/GHSA-89j6-qpxf-pfpc
Unexpected Pointer Aliasing in IEEE 802154 Fragment Reassembly in Zephyr. Zephyr versions >= >=2.4.0 contain NULL Pointer Dereference (CWE-476). For more information, see https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/security/advisories/GHSA-p86r-gc4r-4mq3
Integer Underflow in Zephyr in IEEE 802154 Fragment Reassembly Header Removal. Zephyr versions >= >=2.4.0 contain Integer Overflow to Buffer Overflow (CWE-680). For more information, see https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/security/advisories/GHSA-w44j-66g7-xw99
Plone CMS until version 5.2.4 has a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the user fullname property and the file upload functionality. The user's input data is not properly encoded when being echoed back to the user. This data can be interpreted as executable code by the browser and allows an attacker to execute JavaScript in the context of the victim's browser if the victim opens a vulnerable page containing an XSS payload.
An XML external entity (XXE) vulnerability in Alkacon OpenCms 11.0, 11.0.1 and 11.0.2 allows remote authenticated users with edit privileges to exfiltrate files from the server's file system by uploading a crafted SVG document.
emlog v5.3.1 has full path disclosure vulnerability in t/index.php, which allows an attacker to see the path to the webroot/file.
In SaltStack Salt before 3002.5, eauth tokens can be used once after expiration. (They might be used to run command against the salt master or minions.)
CMCAgent in NCR Command Center Agent 16.3 on Aloha POS/BOH servers permits the submission of a runCommand parameter (within an XML document sent to port 8089) that enables the remote, unauthenticated execution of an arbitrary command as SYSTEM, as exploited in the wild in 2020 and/or 2021. NOTE: the vendor's position is that exploitation occurs only on devices with a certain "misconfiguration."
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect app that enables a man-in-the-middle attacker to disrupt system processes and potentially execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges. This issue impacts: GlobalProtect app 5.1 versions earlier than GlobalProtect app 5.1.9 on Windows; GlobalProtect app 5.2 versions earlier than GlobalProtect app 5.2.8 on Windows; GlobalProtect app 5.2 versions earlier than GlobalProtect app 5.2.8 on the Universal Windows Platform; GlobalProtect app 5.3 versions earlier than GlobalProtect app 5.3.1 on Linux.
