CVSS v3.1 |
| MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, PAM dialog authentication can be coerced into transmitting the account password over an insecure connection. The mysql_clear_password plugin is gated behind a secure transport, but the sibling PAM handler SendPamAuthPacketFactory, named dialog by the server, does not declare that requirement and inherits the default secure-required value false; older branches implement the same affected behavior in SendPamAuthPacket. A hostile or man-in-the-middle server can send an Authentication Switch Request for dialog over plain TCP, causing the driver to return the user's password in cleartext when sslMode=DISABLE and restrictedAuth=null, which is the default configuration. Properly verified TLS and local Unix sockets are not exposed to this transport vector. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9. |
| MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java. Prior to 1.4.1, org.mariadb:r2dbc-mariadb does not gate clear-text password authentication plugins on transport encryption because the AuthenticationPlugin interface has no capability for a plugin to require a secure connection. A hostile or man-in-the-middle MariaDB server can send an AuthSwitchRequest naming mysql_clear_password or dialog (PAM) over a plain-TCP unencrypted connection, and AuthenticationFlow permits ClearPasswordPluginFlow or PamPluginFlow to return the user's password as cleartext bytes on the wire. The disclosed credentials can subsequently be used to authenticate directly to the database server. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1. |
| A vulnerability was detected in RooCodeInc Roo-Code up to 3.51.1. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file src/integrations/claude-code/oauth.ts of the component OAuth Callback. The manipulation results in cleartext transmission of sensitive information. The attack may be performed from remote. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. It is stated that the exploitability is difficult. The exploit is now public and may be used. Multiple isses were reported to the vendor beforehand. They explain, that "they all apply to Roo Code, a project we no longer support - the repository was archived a while ago, and we don't encourage anyone to use it." This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
| A cleartext transmission of sensitive information vulnerability exists
in certain Ebyte gateway products. The web management interface does not
adequately protect sensitive communications using transport-layer
encryption. An attacker with access to network traffic could intercept
authentication or session-related information transmitted between a user
and the affected device. Successful exploitation could result in
disclosure of sensitive information and unauthorized access to device
management functionality. |
| MQTT credentials and control traffic are transmitted in cleartext,
exposing sensitive information to network-level attackers. This may
enable unauthorized device impersonation and disruption of messaging
functions. |
| rclone before 1.74.4 fails to strip the X-Amz-Security-Token header when an S3 redirect changes scheme from HTTPS to HTTP on the same host. Attackers can intercept plaintext HTTP traffic to capture AWS STS session tokens sent in request headers. |
| When OpenSSL is unavailable on the server, the extension transmits TYPO3 system information in cleartext instead of encrypting it. Exploitation requires the attacker to already be in control of the SYSSY project's API key. |
| Cohere North AI v1.1.5 was discovered to contain an information leak via the WebSocket Endpoint. |
| rclone versions before v1.75.0 fail to reject transport downgrades in redirect handling, allowing Basic authorization and Cookie headers to be replayed over plaintext HTTP after same-host HTTPS-to-HTTP redirects. An on-path attacker observing the plaintext hop can capture and reuse credentials to perform WebDAV operations with the compromised account's permissions. |
| Download of code without integrity check, inclusion of functionality from untrusted control sphere, and cleartext
transmission of sensitive information vulnerability in Ozols Grupa OZOLS
on Windows caused by an abandoned auto-update domain. Affected
component: the automatic update channel - OzolsSQL client update path, the <db>_update SQL Server Agent job (@subsystem = N'ActiveScripting') and serv_update.vbs.
This issue affects OZOLS: before 1.1.1233. |
| A cleartext transmission of sensitive information vulnerability in the NFC interface of multiple Milesight IoT device models running affected firmware versions allows an unauthenticated attacker with physical proximity to retrieve LoRaWAN ABP NwkSKey and AppSKey values and D2D keys via an NFC read operation. The exposed keys can be used to decrypt LoRaWAN traffic, forge uplink and downlink frames, submit falsified sensor data, issue supported device commands, and cause subsequent legitimate frames to be rejected. |
| The HTTPPasswordMgr class in the urllib.request module, along with its subclasses HTTPPasswordMgrWithDefaultRealm and HTTPPasswordMgrWithPriorAuth, did not take the URL scheme into account when matching stored credentials against a requested URL. Credentials added for an https:// URL were also used for requests to the same host over http://, so an attacker able to redirect or downgrade a client to plain HTTP (for example, via an HTTPS-to-HTTP redirect or an on-path position) could capture credentials in cleartext. Credentials added for http:// URLs could likewise be sent over https://.
Credential matching is now scoped by URL scheme. Credentials registered with a URL that includes a scheme are only used for requests with the same scheme. Credentials registered with a bare authority (such as example.com or example.com:8080) continue to match any scheme, preserving compatibility with existing code, including proxy authentication.
Users who cannot upgrade immediately can mitigate by ensuring that applications never make plain http:// requests to hosts for which credentials are registered, for example by not following redirects to http:// URLs. |
| stigmem-node contains an insecure default configuration vulnerability that allows federation traffic to traverse networks without mTLS protection when non-loopback endpoints are enabled. Operators who explicitly disabled mTLS while binding federation to non-loopback addresses expose federation traffic to cleartext interception and man-in-the-middle attacks. |
| This issue was addressed by using HTTPS when sending information over the network. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.7.10 and iPadOS 18.7.10, iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6. An app may be able to access sensitive user data. |
| Cleartext Transmission of Sensitive Information (CWE-319) in a component used in the Gallagher Hanwha VMS and Gallagher NxWitness VMS integrations allows unprivileged users with local network access to view live video streams.
This issue affects all versions of Gallagher NxWitness VMS integration prior to 9.10.017 and Gallagher Hanwha VMS integration prior to 9.10.025. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Mendi Neurofeedback Headset V4. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the component Bluetooth Low Energy Handler. Performing a manipulation results in cleartext transmission of sensitive information. The attack can only be performed from the local network. The attack's complexity is rated as high. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Edimax GS-5008PL firmware version 1.00.54 and prior use cleartext HTTP for the web management interface without implementing TLS or SSL encryption. Attackers on the same network can intercept management traffic to capture administrator credentials and sensitive configuration data. |
| Windows Printing Service Spoofing Vulnerability |
| Data::Entropy versions before 0.010 for Perl read remote entropy sources over plain HTTP.
The Data::Entropy::RawSource::RandomOrg and Data::Entropy::RawSource::RandomnumbersInfo remote sources are accessed over plain HTTP.
The Data::Entropy::RawSource::RandomOrg integrity check trivially matches any non-empty byte string.
Any on-path attacker, such as open WiFi, a compromised ISP, captive portal, or a hostile egress proxy substitutes the response and thereby chooses the bytes returned by rand_bits and rand_int for every application that selected one of these sources via with_entropy_source. The _checkbuf method response is equally attacker-controlled, so the retry/sleep behaviour is steerable too. |
| A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to view sensitive information in clear text on an affected system.
This vulnerability is due to insufficient access control enforcement for specific template types that are not included in the encryption allowlist. A low-privileged attacker could exploit this vulnerability by viewing logs on the local system or on a remote logging server. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to view sensitive authentication credentials, which could lead to further compromise of network infrastructure and connected services. |
