CVE-2026-98419 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drop_monitor: fix out-of-bounds write in reset_per_cpu_data() In reset_per_cpu_data(), al is computed as: al = sizeof(struct net_dm_alert_msg); al += dm_hit_limit * sizeof(struct net_dm_drop_point); al += sizeof(struct nlattr); skb = genlmsg_new(al, GFP_KERNEL); ... nla = nla_reserve(skb, NLA_UNSPEC, sizeof(struct net_dm_alert_msg)); ... msg = nla_data(nla); memset(msg, 0, al); Because al includes sizeof(struct nlattr) (the 4-byte attribute header), genlmsg_new() allocates al bytes of tailroom starting at nla. However, msg points to nla_data(nla), which is located sizeof(struct nlattr) bytes past nla. Calling memset(msg, 0, al) therefore writes al bytes starting from msg, exceeding the allocated buffer by sizeof(struct nlattr) (4 bytes) and corrupting skb_shared_info. Fix this by letting al represent only the payload length, allocating the skb with genlmsg_new(nla_total_size(al), GFP_KERNEL), and zeroing al bytes from msg.
CVE-2026-98501 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: alps: fix use-after-free on input2 registration failure alps_input_configured() stores data->input2 before calling input_register_device(). If registration fails, input_free_device() frees the input device but data->input2 still points to the freed memory. alps_input_configured() calls hid_hw_open() before allocating input2, so URBs are already active and raw_event can fire during the failure window. A U1_SP_ABSOLUTE_REPORT_ID report arriving then causes u1_raw_event() to dereference the freed data->input2 -> use-after-free. Fix by only storing input2 into drvdata after successful registration and adding a NULL guard in the raw_event path.
CVE-2026-98543 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.3 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: fs/xattr: don't assume the inode is locked in path_unlink/path_rmdir bpf_lsm_has_d_inode_locked() makes the verifier rewrite bpf_[set|remove]_dentry_xattr() to the _locked variants, which assume that the caller already holds the inode's i_rwsem. The path_unlink and path_rmdir hooks are listed, but security_path_unlink() and security_path_rmdir() run before vfs_unlink()/vfs_rmdir() take the victim inode's i_rwsem, so a sleepable BPF LSM program attached to either hook mutates the victim's xattrs without the lock held. Drop the two path hooks from d_inode_locked_hooks so that the verifier keeps the locking bpf_[set|remove]_dentry_xattr() variants, which take the lock themselves.
CVE-2026-98968 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 8.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: amt: send the relay's General Query directly from the receive path An skb queued in a qdisc can outlive the tunnel it references through a raw pointer in skb->cb. For example, with igmp_qrv set to 1 on the relay a tunnel lives for 135s, so a netem delay of 180s on the amt device outlives it; when the tunnel expires and is freed, the subsequent dequeue triggers a use-after-free in amt_dev_xmit(). BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in amt_dev_xmit+0x2763/0x2e20 Call Trace: amt_dev_xmit+0x2763/0x2e20 [drivers/net/amt.c:1262] dev_hard_start_xmit+0x22f/0x620 sch_direct_xmit+0x12e/0xac0 netem_dequeue+0x333/0xc50 net_tx_action+0x35c/0xa60 amt_send_igmp_gq() and amt_send_mld_gq() are only called from amt_request_handler(), inside the rcu_read_lock_bh() section of amt_rcv(). amt_request_handler() already has the tunnel the query is for: it found or created it inside that section. Queuing the query with dev_queue_xmit() only leads back into amt_dev_xmit(), which strips the Ethernet header and calls amt_send_membership_query() for that tunnel. Make that call directly from the two senders instead, the same way amt_send_advertisement() transmits from the receive path. The query never waits in a qdisc, the tunnel is only dereferenced inside the RCU section that found or created it, and nothing is stored in skb->cb, so no lookup or refcount is needed. Remove the query branch of amt_dev_xmit(), amt_skb_cb() and struct amt_skb_cb, which have no users left. Behaviour changes: - The relay's own General Queries no longer pass through the amt device's egress path: its qdisc, tc egress (clsact/tcx), the netfilter egress hook and packet taps. They are still visible as UDP on the underlay. - A query that is sent successfully is no longer counted as tx_dropped. The old query branch left through the unlock label, which counted every sent query as dropped. - A query that reaches amt_dev_xmit() on a relay from elsewhere, such as a userspace querier, is now dropped at the IGMP/MLD type switch. Before, it trusted whatever skb->cb held, and a NULL tunnel hit the WARN_ON(1).
CVE-2026-98978 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: never expire a locked mount Locked mounts are special. They protect the underlying files and directories from being revealed. do_umount() refuses to unmount locked mounts but shrink_submounts() doesn't. A shrinkable mount can become locked once the owner of a user namespace puts it beneath a locked mount with MOVE_MOUNT_BENEATH. The locked property now moves to the mount at the bottom making it possible to unmount the top mount. So umount() of an unlocked ancestor now expires the bottom mount first and the covered directory is revealed: move_mount(c -> x/hidden, MOVE_MOUNT_BENEATH) = 0 the cover after the lock moved: umount2(x/hidden) = 0 the holder of the lock: umount2(x/hidden) = EINVAL the root of the copy, busy: umount2(x) = EBUSY reads x/hidden/secret: "covered-by-root" So leave a locked mount alone as it dies together with its parent. A plain umount() of an unlocked mount with a locked one below it is EBUSY from now on. It's the same for any other locked child. A lazy umount still takes the whole tree. mark_mounts_for_expiry() never sees a locked mount. lock_mnt_tree() leaves a mount on an expiry list alone and nothing else puts a locked one on such a list. Add an assert for this.
CVE-2026-113674 2026-10-24 3.7 Low
The GeoDirectory WordPress plugin before 2.8.194 does not correctly verify ownership of listings submitted by logged-out users before allowing them to be edited, allowing unauthenticated attackers to modify, unpublish, attach images to, or reassign any guest-submitted listing when guest posting is enabled.

CVE-2026-111802 2 Red Hat, Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-24 6.6 Medium
A flaw was found in Nautilus. When a removable drive or disk image is unmounted or ejected, Nautilus prompts the user to empty the trash without verifying whether the trash directory paths are symbolic links. An attacker can exploit this flaw by tricking a user into mounting a crafted storage volume and confirming the prompt to empty the trash, leading to the arbitrary deletion of files accessible to that user.
CVE-2026-98479 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libiscsi_tcp: Check the data direction of a Data-In PDU The Data-In branch of iscsi_tcp_hdr_dissect() resolves the ITT to a task and copies the PDU's data segment into that command's scatterlist without asking whether the command was reading. iscsi_tcp_r2t_rsp() in the same file does ask, and rejects an R2T for a command that is not DMA_TO_DEVICE. A target that answers a WRITE command's ITT with a Data-In therefore has the initiator write target-supplied bytes into the pages that write was about to send. Those are the caller's own pinned pages for an O_DIRECT write, and page cache pages for a buffered one. Observed against a test target that emits one 512-byte Data-In naming a 128 KB write's ITT, after the R2T for that write. With O_DIRECT the caller's buffer ends up holding 512 bytes of the target's data while pwrite() returns 131072. Buffered is quieter: pwrite() and fsync() both succeed, nothing is logged, and reading those blocks back returns the target's bytes out of the page cache without a command going on the wire. Check the direction before using the scatterlist, the way the R2T path already does.
CVE-2026-98378 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Skip unsettled links in link iterator bpf_link_prime() inserts a link into link_idr before anon_inode_getfile() succeeds and before bpf_link_settle() publishes the ID in link->id. bpf_link_by_id() treats such an ID-zero link as unsettled, but the link iterator takes a reference without this check. If anon_inode_getfile() then fails, the creator removes the ID and frees its still-private link directly. The iterator is left with a dangling reference and its next bpf_link_put() accesses freed memory. Treat ID-zero entries as transient in bpf_link_get_curr_or_next(), just as bpf_link_by_id() does. BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in bpf_link_put Write of size 8 by task exp/384 Call Trace: bpf_link_put kernel/bpf/syscall.c:3372 bpf_link_seq_next kernel/bpf/link_iter.c:33 bpf_seq_read kernel/bpf/bpf_iter.c:158 vfs_read fs/read_write.c:572 ksys_read fs/read_write.c:716 do_syscall_64 arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:84 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe arch/x86/entry/entry_64.S:121 Kernel panic - not syncing: KASAN: panic_on_warn set ...
CVE-2026-98497 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: fix swapped IPv6 IPsec policy masks IPv6 XFRM policies may use different source and destination prefix lengths. mlx5e_ipsec_policy_mask() builds the corresponding masks independently, but setup_fte_addr6() installs each mask in the opposite address field. When the prefix lengths differ, this makes the source match use the destination prefix and the destination match use the source prefix. The resulting hardware rule can both miss traffic covered by the policy and match traffic outside it. Install each mask in its corresponding match field.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/uvmm: fix UAF in nouveau_uvmm_sm when BO is in TTM_PL_SYSTEM nouveau_uvmm_sm() calls op_map(), which passes bo->resource through nouveau_mem() to nouveau_uvma_map(). nouveau_uvmm_vmm_map() then reads mem->mem.type. But this is only valid when bo->resource is backed by struct nouveau_mem, as is the case for VRAM and TT resources. If the BO is left in TTM_PL_SYSTEM, bo->resource is only a struct ttm_resource. Treating it as struct nouveau_mem makes the mem->mem.type read past the end of the resource, causing a KASAN: slab-use-after-free Read in nouveau_uvmm_sm report: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in nouveau_uvmm_vmm_map drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:152 [inline] BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in nouveau_uvma_map drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:199 [inline] BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in op_map drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:849 [inline] BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in nouveau_uvmm_sm.constprop.0+0x6ab/0x900 drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:903 Read of size 1 at addr ffff888127d3e3a0 by task kworker/0:1/11 CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 11 Comm: kworker/0:1 Not tainted 7.2.0 #5 PREEMPT(lazy) Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS 1.16.3-debian-1.16.3-2 04/01/2014 Workqueue: nouveau_sched_wq_2224 drm_sched_run_job_work Call Trace: <TASK> __dump_stack lib/dump_stack.c:94 [inline] dump_stack_lvl+0x95/0xe0 lib/dump_stack.c:120 print_address_description mm/kasan/report.c:378 [inline] print_report+0xcb/0x5a0 mm/kasan/report.c:482 kasan_report+0xca/0x100 mm/kasan/report.c:595 nouveau_uvmm_vmm_map drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:152 [inline] nouveau_uvma_map drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:199 [inline] op_map drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:849 [inline] nouveau_uvmm_sm.constprop.0+0x6ab/0x900 drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:903 nouveau_uvmm_sm_unmap drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:932 [inline] nouveau_uvmm_bind_job_run+0xd6/0x250 drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_uvmm.c:1532 nouveau_job_run drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_sched.c:350 [inline] nouveau_sched_run_job+0x62/0xd0 drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_sched.c:364 drm_sched_run_job_work+0x356/0xa10 drivers/gpu/drm/scheduler/sched_main.c:1061 process_one_work+0x8a5/0x1900 kernel/workqueue.c:3322 process_scheduled_works kernel/workqueue.c:3405 [inline] worker_thread+0x5dd/0xd80 kernel/workqueue.c:3486 kthread+0x31d/0x420 kernel/kthread.c:436 ret_from_fork+0x662/0x940 arch/x86/kernel/process.c:158 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 arch/x86/entry/entry_64.S:245 </TASK> Allocated by task 2224 on cpu 0 at 66.550027s: kasan_save_stack+0x24/0x50 mm/kasan/common.c:57 kasan_save_track+0x17/0x60 mm/kasan/common.c:78 poison_kmalloc_redzone mm/kasan/common.c:398 [inline] __kasan_kmalloc+0xaa/0xb0 mm/kasan/common.c:415 kasan_kmalloc include/linux/kasan.h:263 [inline] __do_kmalloc_node mm/slub.c:5334 [inline] __kmalloc_noprof+0x304/0x7c0 mm/slub.c:5359 _kmalloc_noprof include/linux/slab.h:992 [inline] dma_resv_list_alloc+0x27/0x90 drivers/dma-buf/dma-resv.c:106 dma_resv_reserve_fences+0x60e/0xa30 drivers/dma-buf/dma-resv.c:205 ttm_bo_alloc_resource+0x12c/0xbd0 drivers/gpu/drm/ttm/ttm_bo.c:721 ttm_bo_validate+0x1bc/0x4a0 drivers/gpu/drm/ttm/ttm_bo.c:856 ttm_bo_init_reserved+0x2c3/0x570 drivers/gpu/drm/ttm/ttm_bo.c:970 nouveau_bo_init+0x159/0x2c0 drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_bo.c:359 nouveau_gem_new+0x234/0x5f0 drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_gem.c:272 nouveau_gem_ioctl_new+0x1eb/0x420 drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_gem.c:352 drm_ioctl_kernel+0x192/0x350 drivers/gpu/drm/drm_ioctl.c:817 drm_ioctl+0x4f8/0xb40 drivers/gpu/drm/drm_ioctl.c:914 nouveau_drm_ioctl+0xea/0x2c0 drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_drm.c:1338 vfs_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:51 [inline] __do_sys_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:597 [inline] __se_sys_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:583 [inline] __x64_sys_ioctl+0x180/0x1d0 fs/ioctl.c:583 do_syscall_x64 ar ---truncated---

CVE-2026-99014 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix command skb lifetime during scan setup During PA sync scan setup, hci_le_set_ext_scan_param_sync() gets the address used for the PA_LINK lookup from hci_sent_cmd_data(). The returned pointer borrows storage from sent_cmd or req_skb, without holding a reference to either skb. The scan worker runs on req_workqueue while hci_cmd_work() runs on the separate device workqueue. After the scan worker loads sent_cmd, the command worker can free and replace it before hci_sent_cmd_data() dereferences the skb. The command payload can also be freed between returning from the helper and comparing the address. The connection lookup's RCU critical section does not protect the command skb. KASAN reported: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in hci_sent_cmd_data+0x27c/0x2f0 Workqueue: hci0 hci_cmd_sync_work Call Trace: hci_sent_cmd_data+0x27c/0x2f0 hci_le_set_scan_param_sync+0x43a/0x850 hci_passive_scan_sync+0xb09/0x1460 hci_update_passive_scan_sync+0x47c/0x6e0 hci_le_pa_create_sync+0x200/0xa70 hci_cmd_sync_work+0x13c/0x290 Allocated by task 95: skb_clone+0x13f/0x340 hci_cmd_work+0x2a9/0x7e0 Freed by task 95: kmem_cache_free+0xba/0x3a0 hci_cmd_work+0x29c/0x7e0 Use hdev->lock to serialize the address snapshot with sent_cmd replacement. Copy the address before releasing the lock and use the copy for the existing RCU-protected connection lookup. Release the mutex before sending or waiting for commands, preserving the lookup and completion ordering.
CVE-2026-99030 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: skbuff: don't leave stale bytes in skb_copy_and_csum_bits() When skb_copy_and_csum_bits() reaches unreadable frags it returns 0 after copying only the linear part, and the rest of the caller's buffer is left as it was. The callers copy into a buffer that is about to go out on the wire: an ICMP error quoting the offending packet, or a driver's TX bounce buffer in skb_copy_and_csum_dev(). Neither buffer is zeroed beforehand, so whatever was in memory there gets sent. Zero the part of the buffer we didn't fill. The checksum usually won't match the data any more, so the receiver will usually drop the packet, but either way it no longer carries anything it shouldn't. Only zero for a positive @len, a negative one from a broken caller must not turn into a huge memset().
CVE-2026-99032 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: protect clcsock lifetime in smc_getname smc_getname() dereferences smc->clcsock without holding clcsock_release_lock. Link-group termination can release the CLC socket through smc_close_active_abort() while the SMC socket is still open, for example after shutdown(SHUT_WR). A getsockname() caller can load smc->clcsock, then the termination worker can clear the pointer and call sock_release() before the caller accesses clcsock->ops or invokes getname(). This causes a use-after-free; if the worker clears the pointer before the load, it causes a NULL dereference. The syscall's file reference keeps the SMC socket alive but does not prevent asynchronous release of its CLC socket. KASAN reported the following with test-only timing instrumentation: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in smc_getname+0x19e/0x1b0 Read of size 8 at addr ffff888109abb4e0 by task poc/103 Call Trace: smc_getname+0x19e/0x1b0 do_getsockname+0xe5/0x170 __sys_getsockname+0x8c/0x100 Allocated by task 95: sock_alloc_inode+0x1e/0x280 sock_alloc+0x3d/0x240 __sock_create+0x7e/0x430 smc_create+0x121/0x240 Freed by task 0: kmem_cache_free+0xcc/0x340 rcu_core+0x50a/0x1850 Last potentially related work creation: evict+0x446/0x6c0 smc_clcsock_release+0xa8/0xd0 smc_close_active_abort+0x26a/0x3a0 __smc_lgr_terminate.part.0+0x137/0x2e0 Hold clcsock_release_lock across the pointer check and the getname() callback to serialize with smc_clcsock_release().
