CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
eth: bnxt: do not update checksum in bnxt_xdp_build_skb()
The bnxt_rx_pkt() updates ip_summed value at the end if checksum offload
is enabled.
When the XDP-MB program is attached and it returns XDP_PASS, the
bnxt_xdp_build_skb() is called to update skb_shared_info.
The main purpose of bnxt_xdp_build_skb() is to update skb_shared_info,
but it updates ip_summed value too if checksum offload is enabled.
This is actually duplicate work.
When the bnxt_rx_pkt() updates ip_summed value, it checks if ip_summed
is CHECKSUM_NONE or not.
It means that ip_summed should be CHECKSUM_NONE at this moment.
But ip_summed may already be updated to CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY in the
XDP-MB-PASS path.
So the by skb_checksum_none_assert() WARNS about it.
This is duplicate work and updating ip_summed in the
bnxt_xdp_build_skb() is not needed.
Splat looks like:

Following ping.py patch adds xdp-mb-pass case. so ping.py is going
to be able to reproduce this issue. |
| cJSON through 1.7.19 is vulnerable to uncontrolled recursion leading to stack exhaustion when an untrusted RFC 6902 JSON Patch is applied via cJSONUtils_ApplyPatches() or cJSONUtils_ApplyPatchesCaseSensitive(). A patch containing add and copy operations grafts duplicated subtrees to amplify document depth beyond the parser's nesting limit: cJSON_Delete() recurses with no depth bound, and the cJSON_Duplicate() guard CJSON_CIRCULAR_LIMIT is set to 10000, ten times the parser's 1000-level nesting limit and high enough to overflow a default thread stack. An attacker who can supply the patch document can crash the process, resulting in denial of service. |
| The Apache Traffic Server ESI plugin can recurse without bound and fetch attacker-controlled URLs.
This issue affects Apache Traffic Server: from 8.0.0 through 8.1.9, from 9.0.0 through 9.2.14, from 10.0.0 through 10.1.3.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.15 or 10.1.4, which fix the issue. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 26.0.0.8 is affected by a denial of service vulnerability when the restConnector-2.0 feature is enabled. |
| A flaw has been found in ggml-org llama.cpp e15efe0. This vulnerability affects the function transform of the file common/json-schema-to-grammar.cpp of the component JSON-Schema-to-GBNF Conversion. This manipulation causes uncontrolled recursion. The attack may be initiated remotely. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. |
| Pivotick contains an uncontrolled-recursion vulnerability when processing caller-supplied graph and node data. The affected graph algorithms recursively traversed graph edges, while the JSON viewer recursively processed each level of a node’s data structure. A specially crafted graph containing an excessively long path, deeply nested properties, or circular object references could therefore exhaust the JavaScript call stack when Pivotick calculates a layout or displays a node in the inspection modal.
Successful exploitation may cause an uncaught exception, freeze the affected page, or crash the browser tab, resulting in a client-side denial of service. No confidentiality or integrity impact has been identified.
The patch replaces the recursive graph traversals with iterative stack-based implementations and limits the reachability calculation to 1,000,000 edge traversals. It also limits JSON rendering to 64 levels and detects circular references before descending further into an object. |
| Net::DNS versions through 1.55 for Perl allow Denial of Service via deep DNS compression pointer chains.
Net::DNS::DomainName::decode follows RFC 1035 compression pointers by recursing into itself with no depth limit. It is possible to construct a name which saturates the call stack (at least with larger TCP responses), leading to a potential Denial of Service.
The guard `$link < $offset` prevents forward and circular chains, but still allows arbitrarily long backward chains. The per-offset cache (`$cache`) is populated at the start of each call and short-circuits only re-traverses of the same offset - the initial descent through a fresh chain still recurses at full depth.
A crafted packet can chain two-byte compression pointers so that each one points two bytes earlier than the previous, producing a chain length of `offset / 2`. For the 14-bit pointer field (max offset 16383) this gives up to ~8191 recursive frames. For a TCP DNS message the limit is the 16-bit length field (~32767 frames). Perl's default C stack handles only a few thousand frames; beyond that the process receives SIGSEGV or similar, which is a denial-of-service for any application parsing untrusted DNS data.
The vulnerability is triggered by `Net::DNS::Packet->new(\$wire)` i.e. any point where the library decodes a DNS message from the network. |
| Zeroconf is a pure Python implementation of multicast DNS service discovery. Prior to 0.149.5, DNSIncoming._decode_labels_at_offset recurses once per DNS-name compression pointer, and a single mDNS packet carrying chained pointers can trigger a RecursionError that escapes DNSIncoming.__init__, causing sustained CPU burn, log flooding, and degraded mDNS-dependent features for unauthenticated hosts on the local link over UDP/5353 (224.0.0.251 / ff02::fb). This issue is fixed in version 0.149.5. |
| In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.16.2 up to and including 1.25.1, a similar vulnerability as with CVE-2026-40622 in the 'ghost domain names' family of attacks was found in Unbound that could extend the ghost domain window by up to one cached TTL configured value for A/AAAA glue records. Similar to other 'ghost domain names' attacks, an adversary needs to control a (ghost) zone and be able to query a vulnerable Unbound. A single client A/AAAA query can cause Unbound to overwrite the cached expired parent-side glue rrset and essentially extend the ghost domain window by up to one cached TTL configured value ('cache-max-ttl'). In configurations where 'harden-referral-path: yes' is used (non-default configuration), no client query is required since Unbound implicitly performs that query. This is a variant of CVE-2026-40622 which only addressed the NS query. |
| The Erlang/OTP ssl application does not detect cycles when reconstructing an incomplete peer certificate chain during a TLS or DTLS handshake. In ssl_certificate:handle_incomplete_chain/5, the received chain is passed to ssl_certificate:build_certificate_chain/5, which walks issuer relationships via ssl_certificate:do_certificate_chain/7 with no cycle detection and no depth limit. When the peer supplies two mutually cross-signed certificates in unordered form (A issues B, B issues A), the issuer lookup alternates between the two certificates and the pair of functions recurses indefinitely, growing the call stack and chain accumulator without bound.
An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted certificate chain in a TLS or DTLS Certificate handshake message to exhaust available memory and crash the BEAM node. Only a TCP connection and a partial handshake are required; no authentication or completed handshake is needed, and both TLS/DTLS servers and clients are affected when processing peer certificate messages.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 23.2 before OTP 29.0.4, OTP 28.5.0.4 and OTP 27.3.4.15, corresponding to ssl from 10.2 before 11.7.4, 11.6.0.4 and 11.2.12.11. |
| Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in Erlang OTP public_key (pubkey_ocsp module) allows forged OCSP responses signed with an expired responder certificate to be accepted as valid.
OCSP response verification in pubkey_ocsp:verify_response/5 and pubkey_ocsp:is_authorized_responder/3 in lib/public_key/src/pubkey_ocsp.erl does not check the validity period (notBefore/notAfter) of the OCSP responder certificate. An attacker who has obtained the private key of an expired CA-designated OCSP responder certificate can forge OCSP responses that Erlang/OTP accepts as valid.
This affects TLS clients using OCSP stapling via the ssl application: a malicious or compromised server can present a revoked TLS certificate together with a forged OCSP response signed by an expired responder key, and the client will accept the revoked certificate as valid. It also affects applications calling public_key:pkix_ocsp_validate/5 directly, where the impact depends on the use case — server-side client certificate validation using this API may allow authentication bypass with a revoked client certificate.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 27.0 before OTP 29.0.1, OTP 28.5.0.1 and OTP 27.3.4.12, corresponding to public_key from 1.16 before 1.21.1, 1.20.3.1 and 1.17.1.3. |
| Uncontrolled Recursion (CWE-674) in Elasticsearch can lead to denial of service via a specially crafted search request submitted by a low-privileged authenticated user. A user with read-level index access can submit a request that triggers unbounded recursive processing within the Elasticsearch query evaluation component, causing a fatal error that terminates the affected node. In single-node deployments, this results in complete service outage; in multi-node clusters, it causes repeated node restarts and sustained availability degradation. |
| Uncontrolled Recursion, Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in Apache IoTDB.
When pipe_air_gap_receiver_enabled=true, the IoTDB AirGap receiver's
readLength method calls itself recursively each time it recognises the
E-language prefix in socket data, with no depth limit. An unauthenticated
attacker can send a stream of repeated E-language prefixes that drives the
recursion arbitrarily deep, exhausting the receiver thread's JVM stack and
raising StackOverflowError.
This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.0.0 before 2.0.10.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.10, which fixes the issue. |
| When the upstream Guardian or CMC was configured in the Remote Collector via n2os-tui, the generated configuration disabled TLS certificate verification, and no option was provided to enable it. A malicious actor could perform a man-in-the-middle attack and intercept the communication between the Remote Collector and the Guardian or CMC. This could result in theft of the sync token, impersonation of the server, injection of spoofed data (such as false asset information or vulnerabilities) into the Guardian or CMC, or disruption of the data flow between the Remote Collector and the Guardian or CMC. |
| A logic vulnerability was found in GStreamer's webrtcbin component. The _check_sdp_crypto() function contains an inverted boolean condition that causes it to accept remote SDP offers or answers that lack the required a=fingerprint attribute, while incorrectly rejecting those that include it. An attacker with the ability to intercept and modify WebRTC signaling messages could exploit this to bypass the SDP-level DTLS certificate fingerprint binding, weakening defenses against man-in-the-middle attacks on media streams. |
| Stanza is a Stanford NLP Python library for tokenization, sentence segmentation, NER, and parsing of many human languages. Prior to 1.12.2, Stanza model loaders such as stanza.models.common.pretrain.Pretrain.load() attempt torch.load(..., weights_only=True) but fall back to torch.load(..., weights_only=False) on attacker-controllable pickle.UnpicklingError, allowing a malicious .pt pretrain or model file to execute arbitrary pickle code when a Stanza NLP pipeline loads it. This issue is fixed in version 1.12.2. |
| Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins. Prior to 3.3.0, the Include directive in src/mistune/directives/include.py detects only direct self-includes and not indirect cycles, allowing two markdown files that include each other to trigger unbounded recursion, raise RecursionError, and crash the rendering request. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0. |
| Mojo::JSON versions before 9.47 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via unbounded recursion in the pure-Perl decoder.
The pure-Perl decode path (`_decode_value` dispatching to `_decode_array` and `_decode_object`) recurses with no depth limit, so a small deeply nested JSON document can consume excessive memory.
This path is the default when Cpanel::JSON::XS is not installed or `MOJO_NO_JSON_XS=1` is set; the Cpanel::JSON::XS fast path is not affected.
Any caller that decodes an untrusted JSON body, for example `Mojo::Message::json` reached through `$c->req->json`, can exhaust process memory and cause denial of service. |
| Operation on a resource after expiration or release in Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26, a missing depth check in the MVG decoder will result in a stack overflow when a crafted image is provided. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26. |
