NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_rewrite_module module. This vulnerability exists when a rewrite directive uses a regex pattern with distinct, overlapping Perl-Compatible Regular Expression (PCRE) captures (for example, ^/((.*))$) and a replacement string that references multiple such captures (for example, $1$2) in a redirect or arguments context. An unauthenticated attacker along with conditions beyond their control can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests. This may cause a heap buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

FreeRDP before 3.26.0 contains a heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability in gdi_CacheToSurface that allows remote attackers to write out-of-bounds heap memory. The vulnerability occurs because rectangle validation clamps coordinates to UINT16_MAX but performs copy operations using unclamped cache entry dimensions, enabling malicious RDP servers to trigger large out-of-bounds writes and potentially achieve remote code execution or client crash.

A vulnerability exists in the ngx_http_scgi_module and ngx_http_uwsgi_module modules that may result in excessive memory allocation or an over-read of data. When scgi_pass or uwsgi_pass is configured, an unauthenticated attacker with man-in-the-middle (MITM) ability to control responses from an upstream server may be able to read the memory of the NGINX worker process or restart it.  Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: remove never-working support for setting nsh fields The validation of the set(nsh(...)) action is completely wrong. It runs through the nsh_key_put_from_nlattr() function that is the same function that validates NSH keys for the flow match and the push_nsh() action. However, the set(nsh(...)) has a very different memory layout. Nested attributes in there are doubled in size in case of the masked set(). That makes proper validation impossible. There is also confusion in the code between the 'masked' flag, that says that the nested attributes are doubled in size containing both the value and the mask, and the 'is_mask' that says that the value we're parsing is the mask. It should be copying each nested attribute and doubling them in size independently. And the process must be properly reversed during the conversion back from masked to a non-masked variant during the flow dump. In the end, the only two outcomes of trying to use this action are either validation failure or a kernel crash. And if somehow someone manages to install a flow with such an action, it will most definitely not do what it is supposed to, since all the keys and the masks are mixed up. Fixing all the issues is a complex task as it requires re-writing most of the validation code. Given that and the fact that this functionality never worked since introduction, let's just remove it altogether. It's better to re-introduce it later with a proper implementation instead of trying to fix it in stable releases.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: avoid NULL dereference when chunk data buffer is missing chunk->skb pointer is dereferenced in the if-block where it's supposed to be NULL only. chunk->skb can only be NULL if chunk->head_skb is not. Check for frag_list instead and do it just before replacing chunk->skb. We're sure that otherwise chunk->skb is non-NULL because of outer if() condition.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: prevent possible shift-out-of-bounds in sctp_transport_update_rto syzbot reported a possible shift-out-of-bounds [1] Blamed commit added rto_alpha_max and rto_beta_max set to 1000. It is unclear if some sctp users are setting very large rto_alpha and/or rto_beta. In order to prevent user regression, perform the test at run time. Also add READ_ONCE() annotations as sysctl values can change under us. MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From versions 10.6.1 to before 10.6.27, 10.11.1 to before 10.11.18, 11.4.1 to before 11.4.12, 11.8.1 to before 11.8.8, and 12.3.1, during the SST the donor node is interpolating parameters that the joiner sent into the command line. Not all parameters were properly validated which could allow a malicious joiner to execute arbitrary shell commands on the donor side via the rsync SST method. This issue has been patched in versions 10.6.27, 10.11.18, 11.4.12, 11.8.8, and 12.3.2.

This issue has been patched in versions 10.6.27, 10.11.18, 11.4.12, 11.8.8, and 12.3.2.

A vulnerability in the peering authentication in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Controller, formerly SD-WAN vSmart, Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager, formerly SD-WAN vManage, and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Validator, formerly SD-WAN vBond, could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass authentication and obtain administrative privileges on an affected system. This vulnerability exists because the peering authentication mechanism in an affected system is not working properly. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted requests to an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to log in to an affected Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Controller as an internal, high-privileged, non-root&nbsp;user account. Using this account, the attacker could access NETCONF, which would then allow the attacker to manipulate network configuration for the SD-WAN fabric.&nbsp;

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix deadlock in wait_current_trans() due to ignored transaction type When wait_current_trans() is called during start_transaction(), it currently waits for a blocked transaction without considering whether the given transaction type actually needs to wait for that particular transaction state. The btrfs_blocked_trans_types[] array already defines which transaction types should wait for which transaction states, but this check was missing in wait_current_trans(). This can lead to a deadlock scenario involving two transactions and pending ordered extents: 1. Transaction A is in TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_DOING state 2. A worker processing an ordered extent calls start_transaction() with TRANS_JOIN 3. join_transaction() returns -EBUSY because Transaction A is in TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_DOING 4. Transaction A moves to TRANS_STATE_UNBLOCKED and completes 5. A new Transaction B is created (TRANS_STATE_RUNNING) 6. The ordered extent from step 2 is added to Transaction B's pending ordered extents 7. Transaction B immediately starts commit by another task and enters TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_START 8. The worker finally reaches wait_current_trans(), sees Transaction B in TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_START (a blocked state), and waits unconditionally 9. However, TRANS_JOIN should NOT wait for TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_START according to btrfs_blocked_trans_types[] 10. Transaction B is waiting for pending ordered extents to complete 11. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: algif_aead - snapshot IV for async AEAD requests AF_ALG AEAD AIO requests currently use the socket-wide IV buffer during request processing. For async requests, later socket activity can update that shared state before the original request has fully completed, which can lead to inconsistent IV handling. Snapshot the IV into per-request storage when preparing the AEAD request, so in-flight operations no longer depend on mutable socket state.

form-data is a library for creating readable multipart/form-data streams. In versions through 4.0.5, the `field` argument to `FormData#append` and the `filename` option are concatenated verbatim into the `Content-Disposition` header without escaping carriage return (CR), line feed (LF), or double-quote (") characters. An application that passes attacker-controlled data as a field name or filename (for example, an API gateway that turns JSON object keys into multipart field names) allows the attacker to terminate the header line and inject additional headers, or to smuggle entire additional multipart parts, into the request the application forwards to a backend. This can let the attacker add or override form fields (e.g. set `is_admin=true`) seen by the downstream parser. This is an instance of CWE-93 (CRLF injection). The fix escapes CR, LF, and `"` as `%0D`, `%0A`, and `%22` in field names and filenames, matching the serialization browsers use per the WHATWG HTML multipart/form-data encoding algorithm. Exploitation requires the consuming application to use untrusted input as a field name or filename; applications that use only fixed/trusted field names are not affected. Fixed in 2.5.6, 3.0.5, and 4.0.6.

A flaw was found in the `tracker-extract-mp3` component of GNOME localsearch (previously known as tracker-miners). This vulnerability, a heap buffer overflow, occurs when processing specially crafted MP3 files. A remote attacker could exploit this by providing a malicious MP3 file, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) where the application crashes. It may also potentially expose sensitive information from the system's memory.

A flaw was found in GNOME localsearch (previously known as tracker-miners) MP3 Extractor. When processing specially crafted MP3 files containing ID3v2.4 tags, a missing bounds check in the `extract_performers_tags` function can lead to a heap buffer overflow. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by triggering a read of unmapped memory. In some cases, it could also lead to information disclosure by reading visible heap data.
