CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
lib: cpu_rmap: Avoid use after free on rmap->obj array entries
When calling irq_set_affinity_notifier() with NULL at the notify
argument, it will cause freeing of the glue pointer in the
corresponding array entry but will leave the pointer in the array. A
subsequent call to free_irq_cpu_rmap() will try to free this entry again
leading to possible use after free.
Fix that by setting NULL to the array entry and checking that we have
non-zero at the array entry when iterating over the array in
free_irq_cpu_rmap().
The current code does not suffer from this since there are no cases
where irq_set_affinity_notifier(irq, NULL) (note the NULL passed for the
notify arg) is called, followed by a call to free_irq_cpu_rmap() so we
don't hit and issue. Subsequent patches in this series excersize this
flow, hence the required fix. |
| A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in slackero phpwcms up to 1.9.45/1.10.8. Affected is the function is_file/getimagesize of the file image_resized.php. The manipulation of the argument imgfile leads to deserialization. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. Upgrading to version 1.9.46 and 1.10.9 is able to address this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. |
| iTop is an web based IT Service Management tool. Prior to versions 2.7.12, 3.1.3, and 3.2.1, server code execution is possible through the frontend of iTop's portal. This is fixed in versions 2.7.12, 3.1.3 and 3.2.1. |

kernfs: fix use-after-free in __kernfs_remove
Syzkaller managed to trigger concurrent calls to
kernfs_remove_by_name_ns() for the same file resulting in
a KASAN detected use-after-free. The race occurs when the root
node is freed during kernfs_drain().
To prevent this acquire an additional reference for the root
of the tree that is removed before calling __kernfs_remove().
Found by syzkaller with the following reproducer (slab_nomerge is
required):
syz_mount_image$ext4(0x0, &(0x7f0000000100)='./file0\x00', 0x100000, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: xhci: Apply the link chain quirk on NEC isoc endpoints
Two clearly different specimens of NEC uPD720200 (one with start/stop
bug, one without) were seen to cause IOMMU faults after some Missed
Service Errors. Faulting address is immediately after a transfer ring
segment and patched dynamic debug messages revealed that the MSE was
received when waiting for a TD near the end of that segment:
[ 1.041954] xhci_hcd: Miss service interval error for slot 1 ep 2 expected TD DMA ffa08fe0

It gets even funnier if the next page is a ring segment accessible to
the HC. Below, it reports MSE in segment at ff1e8000, plows through a
zero-filled page at ff1e9000 and starts reporting events for TRBs in
page at ff1ea000 every microframe, instead of jumping to seg ff1e6000.

[ 7.098379] xhci_hcd: Overrun event on slot 1 ep 2
It's possible that data from the isochronous device were written to
random buffers of pending TDs on other endpoints (either IN or OUT),
other devices or even other HCs in the same IOMMU domain.
Lastly, an error from a different USB device on another HC. Was it
caused by the above? I don't know, but it may have been. The disk
was working without any other issues and generated PCIe traffic to
starve the NEC of upstream BW and trigger those MSEs. The two HCs
shared one x1 slot by means of a commercial "PCIe splitter" board.

Fortunately, it appears that this ridiculous bug is avoided by setting
the chain bit of Link TRBs on isochronous rings. Other ancient HCs are
known which also expect the bit to be set and they ignore Link TRBs if
it's not. Reportedly, 0.95 spec guaranteed that the bit is set.
The bandwidth-starved NEC HC running a 32KB/uframe UVC endpoint reports
tens of MSEs per second and runs into the bug within seconds. Chaining
Link TRBs allows the same workload to run for many minutes, many times.

| A vulnerability was found in Undertow where the ProxyProtocolReadListener reuses the same StringBuilder instance across multiple requests. This issue occurs when the parseProxyProtocolV1 method processes multiple requests on the same HTTP connection. As a result, different requests may share the same StringBuilder instance, potentially leading to information leakage between requests or responses. In some cases, a value from a previous request or response may be erroneously reused, which could lead to unintended data exposure. This issue primarily results in errors and connection termination but creates a risk of data leakage in multi-request environments. |
| Dell CloudBoost Virtual Appliance, versions 19.13.0.0 and prior, contains an Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to unauthorized access. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ethernet: mvpp2_main: fix possible OOB write in mvpp2_ethtool_get_rxnfc()
rules is allocated in ethtool_get_rxnfc and the size is determined by
rule_cnt from user space. So rule_cnt needs to be check before using
rules to avoid OOB writing or NULL pointer dereference. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: xts - Handle EBUSY correctly
As it is xts only handles the special return value of EINPROGRESS,
which means that in all other cases it will free data related to the
request.
However, as the caller of xts may specify MAY_BACKLOG, we also need
to expect EBUSY and treat it in the same way. Otherwise backlogged
requests will trigger a use-after-free. |

netfilter: nf_tables: do not ignore genmask when looking up chain by id

Reproduction Steps:
1. Open test/cpu.pressure and establish epoll monitoring
2. Disable monitoring: echo 0 > test/cgroup.pressure
3. Re-enable monitoring: echo 1 > test/cgroup.pressure
The race condition occurs because:
1. When cgroup.pressure is disabled (echo 0 > cgroup.pressure), it:
- Releases PSI triggers via cgroup_file_release()
- Frees of->priv through kernfs_drain_open_files()
2. While epoll still holds reference to the file and continues polling
3. Re-enabling (echo 1 > cgroup.pressure) accesses freed of->priv

To address this issue, introduce kernfs_get_active_of() for kernfs open
files to obtain active references. This function will fail if the open file
has been released. Replace kernfs_get_active() with kernfs_get_active_of()
to prevent further operations on released file descriptors. |

drm/nouveau: fix a use-after-free in nouveau_gem_prime_import_sg_table()
nouveau_bo_init() is backed by ttm_bo_init() and ferries its return code
back to the caller. On failures, ttm will call nouveau_bo_del_ttm() and
free the memory.Thus, when nouveau_bo_init() returns an error, the gem
object has already been released. Then the call to nouveau_bo_ref() will
use the freed "nvbo->bo" and lead to a use-after-free bug.

If given the possibility to pass unsanitized paths to the loadFile method, a user can retrieve file contents of arbitrary files in the local file system the node process is running in. The file contents are included verbatim in the generated PDFs. Other affected methods are `addImage`, `html`, and `addFont`. Only the node.js builds of the library are affected, namely the `dist/jspdf.node.js` and `dist/jspdf.node.min.js` files. The vulnerability has been fixed in jsPDF@4.0.0. This version restricts file system access per default. This semver-major update does not introduce other breaking changes. Some workarounds areavailable. With recent node versions, jsPDF recommends using the `--permission` flag in production. The feature was introduced experimentally in v20.0.0 and is stable since v22.13.0/v23.5.0/v24.0.0. For older node versions, sanitize user-provided paths before passing them to jsPDF. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/ivpu: Prevent recovery work from being queued during device removal
Use disable_work_sync() instead of cancel_work_sync() in ivpu_dev_fini()
to ensure that no new recovery work items can be queued after device
removal has started. Previously, recovery work could be scheduled even
after canceling existing work, potentially leading to use-after-free
bugs if recovery accessed freed resources.
Rename ivpu_pm_cancel_recovery() to ivpu_pm_disable_recovery() to better
reflect its new behavior. |

fuse: Block access to folio overlimit
syz reported a slab-out-of-bounds Write in fuse_dev_do_write.
When the number of bytes to be retrieved is truncated to the upper limit
by fc->max_pages and there is an offset, the oob is triggered.
Add a loop termination condition to prevent overruns. |

erofs: fix runtime warning on truncate_folio_batch_exceptionals()
Commit 0e2f80afcfa6("fs/dax: ensure all pages are idle prior to
filesystem unmount") introduced the WARN_ON_ONCE to capture whether
the filesystem has removed all DAX entries or not and applied the
fix to xfs and ext4.
Apply the missed fix on erofs to fix the runtime warning:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ice: fix NULL access of tx->in_use in ice_ll_ts_intr
Recent versions of the E810 firmware have support for an extra interrupt to
handle report of the "low latency" Tx timestamps coming from the
specialized low latency firmware interface. Instead of polling the
registers, software can wait until the low latency interrupt is fired.
This logic makes use of the Tx timestamp tracking structure, ice_ptp_tx, as
it uses the same "ready" bitmap to track which Tx timestamps complete.
Unfortunately, the ice_ll_ts_intr() function does not check if the
tracker is initialized before its first access. This results in NULL
dereference or use-after-free bugs similar to the issues fixed in the
ice_ptp_ts_irq() function.
Fix this by only checking the in_use bitmap (and other fields) if the
tracker is marked as initialized. The reset flow will clear the init field
under lock before it tears the tracker down, thus preventing any
use-after-free or NULL access. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
audit: fix out-of-bounds read in audit_compare_dname_path()
When a watch on dir=/ is combined with an fsnotify event for a
single-character name directly under / (e.g., creating /a), an
out-of-bounds read can occur in audit_compare_dname_path().
The helper parent_len() returns 1 for "/". In audit_compare_dname_path(),
when parentlen equals the full path length (1), the code sets p = path + 1
and pathlen = 1 - 1 = 0. The subsequent loop then dereferences
p[pathlen - 1] (i.e., p[-1]), causing an out-of-bounds read.
Fix this by adding a pathlen > 0 check to the while loop condition
to prevent the out-of-bounds access.
