| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bnxt_en: Fix null pointer dereference in bnxt_bs_trace_check_wrap()
With older FW, we may get the ASYNC_EVENT_CMPL_EVENT_ID_DBG_BUF_PRODUCER
for FW trace data type that has not been initialized. This will result
in a crash in bnxt_bs_trace_type_wrap(). Add a guard to check for a
valid magic_byte pointer before proceeding. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
udp_tunnel: use netdev_warn() instead of netdev_WARN()
netdev_WARN() uses WARN/WARN_ON to print a backtrace along with
file and line information. In this case, udp_tunnel_nic_register()
returning an error is just a failed operation, not a kernel bug.
udp_tunnel_nic_register() can fail due to a memory allocation
failure (kzalloc() or udp_tunnel_nic_alloc()).
This is a normal runtime error and not a kernel bug.
Replace netdev_WARN() with netdev_warn() accordingly. |
| @vitejs/plugin-rs provides React Server Components (RSC) support for Vite. Prior to version 0.5.8, the `/__vite_rsc_findSourceMapURL` endpoint in `@vitejs/plugin-rsc` allows unauthenticated arbitrary file read during development mode. An attacker can read any file accessible to the Node.js process by sending a crafted HTTP request with a `file://` URL in the `filename` query parameter. Version 0.5.8 fixes the issue. |

certain value-delimiting characters in incoming requests. This issue could
allow an attacker to construct a cookie value to exfiltrate HttpOnly cookie
values or spoof arbitrary additional cookie values, leading to unauthorized
data access or modification. The main threat from this flaw impacts data
confidentiality and integrity. |
| Versions of the package spatie/browsershot before 5.0.5 are vulnerable to Improper Input Validation due to improper URL validation through the setUrl method, which results in a Local File Inclusion allowing the attacker to read sensitive files.

| MinIO Java SDK is a Simple Storage Service (aka S3) client to perform bucket and object operations to any Amazon S3 compatible object storage service. In minio-java versions prior to 8.6.0, XML tag values containing references to system properties or environment variables were automatically substituted with their actual values during processing. This unintended behavior could lead to the exposure of sensitive information, including credentials, file paths, or system configuration details, if such references were present in XML content from untrusted sources. This is fixed in version 8.6.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/i915: Avoid lock inversion when pinning to GGTT on CHV/BXT+VTD
On completion of i915_vma_pin_ww(), a synchronous variant of
dma_fence_work_commit() is called. When pinning a VMA to GGTT address
space on a Cherry View family processor, or on a Broxton generation SoC
with VTD enabled, i.e., when stop_machine() is then called from
intel_ggtt_bind_vma(), that can potentially lead to lock inversion among
reservation_ww and cpu_hotplug locks.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: comp - Use same definition of context alloc and free ops
In commit 42d9f6c77479 ("crypto: acomp - Move scomp stream allocation
code into acomp"), the crypto_acomp_streams struct was made to rely on
having the alloc_ctx and free_ctx operations defined in the same order
as the scomp_alg struct. But in that same commit, the alloc_ctx and
free_ctx members of scomp_alg may be randomized by structure layout
randomization, since they are contained in a pure ops structure
(containing only function pointers). If the pointers within scomp_alg
are randomized, but those in crypto_acomp_streams are not, then
the order may no longer match. This fixes the problem by removing the
union from scomp_alg so that both crypto_acomp_streams and scomp_alg
will share the same definition of alloc_ctx and free_ctx, ensuring
they will always have the same layout. |

| Git is a fast, scalable, distributed revision control system with an unusually rich command set that provides both high-level operations and full access to internals. When cloning a repository Git knows to optionally fetch a bundle advertised by the remote server, which allows the server-side to offload parts of the clone to a CDN. The Git client does not perform sufficient validation of the advertised bundles, which allows the remote side to perform protocol injection. This protocol injection can cause the client to write the fetched bundle to a location controlled by the adversary. The fetched content is fully controlled by the server, which can in the worst case lead to arbitrary code execution. The use of bundle URIs is not enabled by default and can be controlled by the bundle.heuristic config option. Some cases of the vulnerability require that the adversary is in control of where a repository will be cloned to. This either requires social engineering or a recursive clone with submodules. These cases can thus be avoided by disabling recursive clones. This vulnerability is fixed in v2.43.7, v2.44.4, v2.45.4, v2.46.4, v2.47.3, v2.48.2, v2.49.1, and v2.50.1. |

Christoph found out this is due to the poisoning code not dealing
properly with CONFIG_HIGHMEM because only the first page is mapped but
then the whole potentially high-order page is accessed.
We could give up on HIGHMEM here, but it's straightforward to fix this
with a loop that's mapping, poisoning or checking and unmapping
individual pages. |
