CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mtd: rawnand: fix double free in atmel_pmecc_create_user()
The "user" pointer was converted from being allocated with kzalloc() to
being allocated by devm_kzalloc(). Calling kfree(user) will lead to a
double free. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
powerpc/pseries/vas: Add close() callback in vas_vm_ops struct
The mapping VMA address is saved in VAS window struct when the
paste address is mapped. This VMA address is used during migration
to unmap the paste address if the window is active. The paste
address mapping will be removed when the window is closed or with
the munmap(). But the VMA address in the VAS window is not updated
with munmap() which is causing invalid access during migration.
The KASAN report shows:

It is caused by repeated release of LGR/link refcnt. One suspect is that
smc_conn_free() is called repeatedly because some smc_conn_free() from
server listening path are not protected by sock lock.
e.g.
Calls under socklock | smc_listen_work
-------------------------------------------------------
lock_sock(sk) | smc_conn_abort
smc_conn_free | \- smc_conn_free
\- smcr_link_put | \- smcr_link_put (duplicated)
release_sock(sk)
So here add sock lock protection in smc_listen_work() path, making it
exclusive with other connection operations. |

ipv4: ip_tunnel: Fix suspicious RCU usage warning in ip_tunnel_find()
The per-netns IP tunnel hash table is protected by the RTNL mutex and
ip_tunnel_find() is only called from the control path where the mutex is
taken.
Add a lockdep expression to hlist_for_each_entry_rcu() in
ip_tunnel_find() in order to validate that the mutex is held and to
silence the suspicious RCU usage warning [1].

| Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in libmodbus v3.1.10 allows to overflow the buffer allocated for the Modbus response if the function tries to reply to a Modbus request with an
unexpected length. |
| A null pointer dereference issue was found in Libtiff's tif_dir.c file. This issue may allow an attacker to pass a crafted TIFF image file to the tiffcp utility which triggers a runtime error that causes undefined behavior. This will result in an application crash, eventually leading to a denial of service. |
| Out-of-bounds Write in GitHub repository vim/vim prior to 8.2. |
| Mbed TLS before 3.6.4 has a PEM parsing one-byte heap-based buffer underflow, in mbedtls_pem_read_buffer and two mbedtls_pk_parse functions, via untrusted PEM input. |
| Mbed TLS before 3.6.4 has a race condition in AESNI detection if certain compiler optimizations occur. An attacker may be able to extract an AES key from a multithreaded program, or perform a GCM forgery. |
| Mbed TLS before 3.6.4 has a NULL pointer dereference because mbedtls_asn1_store_named_data can trigger conflicting data with val.p of NULL but val.len greater than zero. |
| Mbed TLS before 3.6.4 allows a use-after-free in certain situations of applications that are developed in accordance with the documentation. The function mbedtls_x509_string_to_names() takes a head argument that is documented as an output argument. The documentation does not suggest that the function will free that pointer; however, the function does call mbedtls_asn1_free_named_data_list() on that argument, which performs a deep free(). As a result, application code that uses this function (relying only on documented behavior) is likely to still hold pointers to the memory blocks that were freed, resulting in a high risk of use-after-free or double-free. In particular, the two sample programs x509/cert_write and x509/cert_req are affected (use-after-free if the san string contains more than one DN). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: at76c50x: fix use after free access in at76_disconnect
The memory pointed to by priv is freed at the end of at76_delete_device
function (using ieee80211_free_hw). But the code then accesses the udev
field of the freed object to put the USB device. This may also lead to a
memory leak of the usb device. Fix this by using udev from interface. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: Purge vif txq in ieee80211_do_stop()
After ieee80211_do_stop() SKB from vif's txq could still be processed.
Indeed another concurrent vif schedule_and_wake_txq call could cause
those packets to be dequeued (see ieee80211_handle_wake_tx_queue())
without checking the sdata current state.
Because vif.drv_priv is now cleared in this function, this could lead to
driver crash.
For example in ath12k, ahvif is store in vif.drv_priv. Thus if
ath12k_mac_op_tx() is called after ieee80211_do_stop(), ahvif->ah can be
NULL, leading the ath12k_warn(ahvif->ah,...) call in this function to
trigger the NULL deref below.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: avoid unregistering devlink regions which were never registered
Russell King reports that a system with mv88e6xxx dereferences a NULL
pointer when unbinding this driver:
https://lore.kernel.org/netdev/Z_lRkMlTJ1KQ0kVX@shell.armlinux.org.uk/
The crash seems to be in devlink_region_destroy(), which is not NULL
tolerant but is given a NULL devlink global region pointer.
At least on some chips, some devlink regions are conditionally registered
since the blamed commit, see mv88e6xxx_setup_devlink_regions_global():
if (cond && !cond(chip))
continue;
These are MV88E6XXX_REGION_STU and MV88E6XXX_REGION_PVT. If the chip
does not have an STU or PVT, it should crash like this.
To fix the issue, avoid unregistering those regions which are NULL, i.e.
were skipped at mv88e6xxx_setup_devlink_regions_global() time. |
