| Redis is an open source, in-memory database that persists on disk. Versions 8.2.1 and below allow an authenticated user to use a specially crafted Lua script to manipulate the garbage collector, trigger a use-after-free and potentially lead to remote code execution. The problem exists in all versions of Redis with Lua scripting. This issue is fixed in version 8.2.2. To workaround this issue without patching the redis-server executable is to prevent users from executing Lua scripts. This can be done using ACL to restrict EVAL and EVALSHA commands. |
| Issue summary: PBMAC1 parameters in PKCS#12 files are missing validation
which can trigger a stack-based buffer overflow, invalid pointer or NULL
pointer dereference during MAC verification.
Impact summary: The stack buffer overflow or NULL pointer dereference may
cause a crash leading to Denial of Service for an application that parses
untrusted PKCS#12 files. The buffer overflow may also potentially enable
code execution depending on platform mitigations.
When verifying a PKCS#12 file that uses PBMAC1 for the MAC, the PBKDF2
salt and keylength parameters from the file are used without validation.
If the value of keylength exceeds the size of the fixed stack buffer used
for the derived key (64 bytes), the key derivation will overflow the buffer.
The overflow length is attacker-controlled. Also, if the salt parameter is
not an OCTET STRING type this can lead to invalid or NULL pointer
dereference.
Exploiting this issue requires a user or application to process
a maliciously crafted PKCS#12 file. It is uncommon to accept untrusted
PKCS#12 files in applications as they are usually used to store private
keys which are trusted by definition. For this reason the issue was assessed
as Moderate severity.
The FIPS modules in 3.6, 3.5 and 3.4 are not affected by this issue, as
PKCS#12 processing is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.
OpenSSL 3.6, 3.5 and 3.4 are vulnerable to this issue.
OpenSSL 3.3, 3.0, 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 are not affected by this issue as they do
not support PBMAC1 in PKCS#12. |

| A flaw was found in Gateway. Sending a non-base64 'basic' auth with special characters can cause APICast to incorrectly authenticate a request. A malformed basic authentication header containing special characters bypasses authentication and allows unauthorized access to the backend. This issue can occur due to a failure in the base64 decoding process, which causes APICast to skip the rest of the authentication checks and proceed with routing the request upstream. |
| A flaw was found in X.Org server. Both DeviceFocusEvent and the XIQueryPointer reply contain a bit for each logical button currently down. Buttons can be arbitrarily mapped to any value up to 255, but the X.Org Server was only allocating space for the device's particular number of buttons, leading to a heap overflow if a bigger value was used. |

| A flaw was found in Go. When FIPS mode is enabled on a system, container runtimes may incorrectly handle certain file paths due to improper validation in the containers/common Go library. This flaw allows an attacker to exploit symbolic links and trick the system into mounting sensitive host directories inside a container. This issue also allows attackers to access critical host files, bypassing the intended isolation between containers and the host system. |

| A vulnerability was found in OpenShift AI that allows for authentication bypass and privilege escalation across models within the same namespace. When deploying AI models, the UI provides the option to protect models with authentication. However, credentials from one model can be used to access other models and APIs within the same namespace. The exposed ServiceAccount tokens, visible in the UI, can be utilized with oc --token={token} to exploit the elevated view privileges associated with the ServiceAccount, leading to unauthorized access to additional resources. |

This could allow an attacker to inject code through social engineering an authorized user, who has the function right "Read diagnostics", to import a specially crafted trace file.
The malicious trace file is insufficiently sanitized and malicious code could be executed in the clients browser session and trigger PLC operations via the webserver that the legitimate user is authorized to perform. |

| GNU Binutils thru 2.46 readelf contains a double free vulnerability when processing a crafted ELF binary with malformed relocation data. During GOT relocation handling, dump_relocations may return early without initializing the all_relocations array. As a result, process_got_section_contents() may pass an uninitialized r_symbol pointer to free(), leading to a double free and terminating the program with SIGABRT. No evidence of exploitable memory corruption or code execution was observed; the impact is limited to denial of service. NOTE: this is disputed by third parties because the observed behavior occurred only in pre-release code and did not affect any tagged version. |
