| Some versions of Hikvision's iSecure Center Product contain insufficient parameter validation, resulting in a command injection vulnerability. Attackers may exploit this to gain platform privileges and execute arbitrary commands on the system.iSecure Center is software released for China's domestic market only, with no overseas release. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: imm: Fix use-after-free bug caused by unfinished delayed work
The delayed work item 'imm_tq' is initialized in imm_attach() and
scheduled via imm_queuecommand() for processing SCSI commands. When the
IMM parallel port SCSI host adapter is detached through imm_detach(),
the imm_struct device instance is deallocated.
However, the delayed work might still be pending or executing
when imm_detach() is called, leading to use-after-free bugs
when the work function imm_interrupt() accesses the already
freed imm_struct memory.
The race condition can occur as follows:
CPU 0(detach thread) | CPU 1
| imm_queuecommand()
| imm_queuecommand_lck()
imm_detach() | schedule_delayed_work()
kfree(dev) //FREE | imm_interrupt()
| dev = container_of(...) //USE
dev-> //USE
Add disable_delayed_work_sync() in imm_detach() to guarantee proper
cancellation of the delayed work item before imm_struct is deallocated. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: ufs: core: Fix invalid probe error return value
After DME Link Startup, the error return value is set to the MIPI UniPro
GenericErrorCode which can be 0 (SUCCESS) or 1 (FAILURE). Upon failure
during driver probe, the error code 1 is propagated back to the driver
probe function which must return a negative value to indicate an error,
but 1 is not negative, so the probe is considered to be successful even
though it failed. Subsequently, removing the driver results in an oops
because it is not in a valid state.
This happens because none of the callers of ufshcd_init() expect a
non-negative error code.
Fix the return value and documentation to match actual usage. |
| Some versions of Hikvision's iSecure Center Product have an improper file upload control vulnerability. Due to the improper verification of file to be uploaded, attackers may upload malicious files to the server. iSecure Center is software released for China's domestic market only, with no overseas release. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/memfd: fix information leak in hugetlb folios
When allocating hugetlb folios for memfd, three initialization steps are
missing:
1. Folios are not zeroed, leading to kernel memory disclosure to userspace
2. Folios are not marked uptodate before adding to page cache
3. hugetlb_fault_mutex is not taken before hugetlb_add_to_page_cache()
The memfd allocation path bypasses the normal page fault handler
(hugetlb_no_page) which would handle all of these initialization steps.
This is problematic especially for udmabuf use cases where folios are
pinned and directly accessed by userspace via DMA.
Fix by matching the initialization pattern used in hugetlb_no_page():
- Zero the folio using folio_zero_user() which is optimized for huge pages
- Mark it uptodate with folio_mark_uptodate()
- Take hugetlb_fault_mutex before adding to page cache to prevent races
The folio_zero_user() change also fixes a potential security issue where
uninitialized kernel memory could be disclosed to userspace through read()
or mmap() operations on the memfd. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFS: Check the TLS certificate fields in nfs_match_client()
If the TLS security policy is of type RPC_XPRTSEC_TLS_X509, then the
cert_serial and privkey_serial fields need to match as well since they
define the client's identity, as presented to the server. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mptcp: Fix proto fallback detection with BPF
The sockmap feature allows bpf syscall from userspace, or based
on bpf sockops, replacing the sk_prot of sockets during protocol stack
processing with sockmap's custom read/write interfaces.
'''
tcp_rcv_state_process()
syn_recv_sock()/subflow_syn_recv_sock()
tcp_init_transfer(BPF_SOCK_OPS_PASSIVE_ESTABLISHED_CB)
bpf_skops_established <== sockops
bpf_sock_map_update(sk) <== call bpf helper
tcp_bpf_update_proto() <== update sk_prot
'''
When the server has MPTCP enabled but the client sends a TCP SYN
without MPTCP, subflow_syn_recv_sock() performs a fallback on the
subflow, replacing the subflow sk's sk_prot with the native sk_prot.
'''
subflow_syn_recv_sock()
subflow_ulp_fallback()
subflow_drop_ctx()
mptcp_subflow_ops_undo_override()
'''
Then, this subflow can be normally used by sockmap, which replaces the
native sk_prot with sockmap's custom sk_prot. The issue occurs when the
user executes accept::mptcp_stream_accept::mptcp_fallback_tcp_ops().
Here, it uses sk->sk_prot to compare with the native sk_prot, but this
is incorrect when sockmap is used, as we may incorrectly set
sk->sk_socket->ops.
This fix uses the more generic sk_family for the comparison instead.
Additionally, this also prevents a WARNING from occurring:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
udp_tunnel: use netdev_warn() instead of netdev_WARN()
netdev_WARN() uses WARN/WARN_ON to print a backtrace along with
file and line information. In this case, udp_tunnel_nic_register()
returning an error is just a failed operation, not a kernel bug.
udp_tunnel_nic_register() can fail due to a memory allocation
failure (kzalloc() or udp_tunnel_nic_alloc()).
This is a normal runtime error and not a kernel bug.
Replace netdev_WARN() with netdev_warn() accordingly. |

The problem is that rcu_force_quiescent_state() uses __this_cpu_read()
in preemptible code instead of the proper raw_cpu_read(). This commit
therefore changes __this_cpu_read() to raw_cpu_read(). |

[<ffffffff8300006a>] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x46/0xb0
This call stack is related to two problems. Firstly, the ocfs2 super uses
"replay_map" to trace online/offline slots, in order to recover offline
slots during recovery and mount. But when ocfs2_truncate_log_init()
returns an error in ocfs2_mount_volume(), the memory of "replay_map" will
not be freed in error handling path. Secondly, the memory of "replay_map"
will not be freed if d_make_root() returns an error in ocfs2_fill_super().
But the memory of "replay_map" will be freed normally when completing
recovery and mount in ocfs2_complete_mount_recovery().
Fix the first problem by adding error handling path to free "replay_map"
when ocfs2_truncate_log_init() fails. And fix the second problem by
calling ocfs2_free_replay_slots(osb) in the error handling path
"out_dismount". In addition, since ocfs2_free_replay_slots() is static,
it is necessary to remove its static attribute and declare it in header
file. |

mmc: mxcmmc: fix return value check of mmc_add_host()
mmc_add_host() may return error, if we ignore its return value, the memory
that allocated in mmc_alloc_host() will be leaked and it will lead a kernel
crash because of deleting not added device in the remove path.
So fix this by checking the return value and goto error path which will call
mmc_free_host(). |

In elf_kexec_load(), a buffer is allocated via vzalloc() to store elf
headers. While it's not freed back to system when kdump kernel is
reloaded or unloaded, or when image->elf_header is successfully set and
then fails to load kdump kernel for some reason. Fix it by freeing the
buffer in arch_kimage_file_post_load_cleanup(). |
