Botan is a C++ cryptography library. Prior to 3.12.0, certain patterns of indefinite length encodings in BER data could cause quadratic behavior in the parser, resulting in a denial of service. Such BER encodings were accepted even in structures which are required to be encoded as DER, which prohibits indefinite length encodings. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.12.0.

FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.26.0, a malicious RDP client can trigger a heap-buffer-overflow write in FreeRDP's server-side clipboard (cliprdr) channel by sending a CB_CLIP_CAPS PDU with a too-small capabilitySetLength. This can crash the server process (remote DoS) and may be exploitable for code execution because it corrupts heap memory. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.26.0.

Hardcoded credentials in the Basic Authentication setup tool (bin/solr auth enable) in Apache Solr versions 9.4.0 through 9.10.1 and 10.0.0 allows a remote attacker to gain full administrative access to the cluster via publicly known default credentials installed silently alongside the user-specified account. As an immediate workaround without upgrading, delete the template users (superadmin, admin, search, index) from security.json or change their passwords. The future, not yet released, versions 9.11.0 and 10.1.0 will not be vulnerable, and it will be enough to upgrade to solve the issue. FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.26.0, a malicious RDP server can trigger a heap-buffer-overflow write in the FreeRDP client by sending crafted RDPGFX PDUs. The bug is in gdi_CacheToSurface: it validates a destination rectangle that is clamped to UINT16_MAX, but then performs the copy using the original cacheEntry->width/height. This can cause a large out-of-bounds heap write and may lead to client crashes or code execution. This bug is reachable from a malicious RDP server, but only when the client has RDPGFX enabled. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.26.0.

PyJWT is a JSON Web Token implementation in Python. Prior to 2.13.0, when the verifier is decoding JSON Web Tokens, while supporting both asymmetric and HMAC algorithms, the library does not validate use of JSON Web Keys in HMAC algorithm, allowing attacker to use the issuer public key as the secret key for HMAC algorithm. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.13.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ioam6: fix OOB and missing lock When trace->type.bit6 is set: if (trace->type.bit6) { ... queue = skb_get_tx_queue(dev, skb); qdisc = rcu_dereference(queue->qdisc); This code can lead to an out-of-bounds access of the dev->_tx[] array when is_input is true. In such a case, the packet is on the RX path and skb->queue_mapping contains the RX queue index of the ingress device. If the ingress device has more RX queues than the egress device (dev) has TX queues, skb_get_queue_mapping(skb) will exceed dev->num_tx_queues. Add a check to avoid this situation since skb_get_tx_queue() does not clamp the index. This issue has also revealed that per queue visibility cannot be accurate and will be replaced later as a new feature. While at it, add missing lock around qdisc_qstats_qlen_backlog(). The function __ioam6_fill_trace_data() is called from both softirq and process contexts, hence the use of spin_lock_bh() here.

FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.26.0, FreeRDP's RDPEAR NDR parser accepts one non-null NDR pointer ref-id for multiple logical pointer fields without tracking the pointed object's expected NDR type or ownership. When the same ref-id is reused across two pointer fields, the parser assigns the same heap object to both output fields. The generic destructor later walks each field independently and destroys/frees both pointers. This causes a malicious-server-triggerable heap use-after-free / double-free in the FreeRDP client's RDPEAR authentication-redirection path. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.26.0.

iskorotkov/avro is a fast Go Avro codec. Prior to 2.33.0, the Avro array and map decoders looped over an attacker-controlled block-count value without checking the underlying reader's error state inside the loop body. Reader.ReadBlockHeader returns the count as a Go int, which is 64-bit on amd64 / arm64 targets — so a producer can declare a block of up to math.MaxInt64 (~9.2 × 10¹⁸) elements followed by EOF (or any truncated payload), and the decoder will attempt that many no-op iterations before propagating the error. The realistic ceiling is "indefinite until the worker is killed externally" — a single hostile payload pins a CPU core until the process is OOM-killed, deadline-cancelled, or terminated. Remote, unauthenticated denial-of-service. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.33.0.
