| An
authenticated directory traversal vulnerability in file upload functionality has
been identified in Archer MR600 (v2, v3 & v5) and TL-MR6400 v8. Due to insufficient validation of user-supplied file
information, an authenticated remote attacker with access to the affected
upload functionality could upload a specially crafted file and cause it to be
written outside the intended directory.
Successful
exploitation could allow an authenticated remote attacker to write files to
unintended locations, potentially overwriting or modifying files
accessible to the affected service; arbitrary code execution has not
been demonstrated. |

| When tarfile extracts a link on a system that doesn't support links, it falls back to extracting a member from the archive. In this case, the filter function is run twice: once for the extracted member, and once with name set to the location of the link. For one of the calls, the return value was ignored. Instead, the member should be skipped if either call returns None. |

| The AcyMailing – An Ultimate Newsletter Plugin and Marketing Automation Solution for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 11.0.4 via the `user[name]` Parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Exploitation requires "Embed images" option in AcyMailing configuration being enabled. |
| The UsersWP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Deletion in versions up to, and including, 1.2.70 via the upload_file_remove() AJAX handler. The plugin stores the value of an account 'file' form field taken directly from $_POST when no real $_FILES upload is provided (process_account() calls uwp_validate_fields() and array_merges the result with the empty output of UsersWP_Files::validate_uploads()). At storage time the value is only checked with validate_file(), which passes any string that does not contain a literal '../'. When the value is later processed by upload_file_remove(), it is again gated with validate_file() and then normalized through uwp_get_file_relative_url(); that helper performs a global str_replace() of the uploads base URL against the stored URL, allowing a crafted URL containing embedded '..<uploads-baseurl>' tokens to collapse into '../../' traversal sequences after the last validation. The transformed value is then appended to the uploads base directory and passed to wp_delete_file() without any canonical containment check. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the affected site's server (including wp-config. |
| XenForo before 2.3.13 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the style archive importer on Windows deployments that allows authenticated non-super administrators with style permissions to write arbitrary files outside the intended extraction directory by using backslash-based traversal sequences in ZIP member names. Attackers can craft a malicious ZIP archive with backslash path separators that bypass forward-slash validation to write arbitrary bytes to any web-server-writable path, including the public web root, achieving persistent code execution as the web-server account. |

| A path traversal vulnerability in LXD allows an attacker to achieve arbitrary host file read or unconstrained file creation. When processing image metadata templates, LXD fails to properly sanitize or restrict template file paths from escaping the instance templates directory (specifically affecting virtual machine / QEMU driver execution paths). An attacker can exploit this flaw by providing a crafted image archive with malicious template directives containing path traversal sequences, causing LXD to access or write files outside the intended template directory on the host system. |
