CVSS v3.1 |
The wp_ajax_update_plugin function in wp-admin/includes/ajax-actions.php in WordPress before 4.6 makes a get_plugin_data call before checking the update_plugins capability, which allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended read-access restrictions via the plugin parameter to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, a related issue to CVE-2016-6896.
Integer underflow in the _gdContributionsAlloc function in gd_interpolation.c in the GD Graphics Library (aka libgd) before 2.2.4 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via vectors related to decrementing the u variable.
The gdImageCreateFromGd2Ctx function in gd_gd2.c in the GD Graphics Library (aka libgd) before 2.2.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted image file.
An issue was discovered in the IPv6 protocol specification, related to ICMP Packet Too Big (PTB) messages. (The scope of this CVE is all affected IPv6 implementations from all vendors.) The security implications of IP fragmentation have been discussed at length in [RFC6274] and [RFC7739]. An attacker can leverage the generation of IPv6 atomic fragments to trigger the use of fragmentation in an arbitrary IPv6 flow (in scenarios in which actual fragmentation of packets is not needed) and can subsequently perform any type of fragmentation-based attack against legacy IPv6 nodes that do not implement [RFC6946]. That is, employing fragmentation where not actually needed allows for fragmentation-based attack vectors to be employed, unnecessarily. We note that, unfortunately, even nodes that already implement [RFC6946] can be subject to DoS attacks as a result of the generation of IPv6 atomic fragments. Let us assume that Host A is communicating with Host B and that, as a result of the widespread dropping of IPv6 packets that contain extension headers (including fragmentation) [RFC7872], some intermediate node filters fragments between Host B and Host A. If an attacker sends a forged ICMPv6 PTB error message to Host B, reporting an MTU smaller than 1280, this will trigger the generation of IPv6 atomic fragments from that moment on (as required by [RFC2460]). When Host B starts sending IPv6 atomic fragments (in response to the received ICMPv6 PTB error message), these packets will be dropped, since we previously noted that IPv6 packets with extension headers were being dropped between Host B and Host A. Thus, this situation will result in a DoS scenario. Another possible scenario is that in which two BGP peers are employing IPv6 transport and they implement Access Control Lists (ACLs) to drop IPv6 fragments (to avoid control-plane attacks). If the aforementioned BGP peers drop IPv6 fragments but still honor received ICMPv6 PTB error messages, an attacker could easily attack the corresponding peering session by simply sending an ICMPv6 PTB message with a reported MTU smaller than 1280 bytes. Once the attack packet has been sent, the aforementioned routers will themselves be the ones dropping their own traffic.
BitlBee before 3.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a file transfer request for a contact that is not in the contact list.
The Xvnc server in TigerVNC allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid memory access and crash) by terminating a TLS handshake early.
An issue was discovered in Fastspot BigTree bigtree-form-builder before 1.2. The vulnerability exists due to insufficient filtration of user-supplied data in multiple HTTP POST parameters passed to a "site/index.php/../../extensions/com.fastspot.form-builder/ajax/redraw-field.php" URL. An attacker could execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a browser in the context of the vulnerable website.
The pdf14_pop_transparency_group function in base/gdevp14.c in the PDF Transparency module in Artifex Software, Inc. Ghostscript 9.20 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and application crash) via a crafted file.
LibTIFF 4.0.7 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and application crash) via a crafted TIFF image, related to libtiff/tif_ojpeg.c:816:8.
An elevation of privilege vulnerability in the MediaTek touchscreen driver could enable a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of the kernel. This issue is rated as Critical due to the possibility of a local permanent device compromise, which may require reflashing the operating system to repair the device. Product: Android. Versions: N/A. Android ID: A-30202412. References: M-ALPS02897901.
LibTIFF 4.0.0alpha4, 4.0.0alpha5, 4.0.0alpha6, 4.0.0beta7, 4.0.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.0.3, 4.0.4, 4.0.4beta, 4.0.5, 4.0.6 and 4.0.7 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted TIFF image, related to "READ of size 512" and libtiff/tif_unix.c:340:2.
An elevation of privilege vulnerability in the Motorola bootloader could enable a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of the bootloader. This issue is rated as Critical due to the possibility of a local permanent device compromise, which may require reflashing the operating system to repair the device. Product: Android. Versions: Kernel-3.10, Kernel-3.18. Android ID: A-33840490.

In ARM Trusted Firmware 1.2 and 1.3, a malformed firmware update SMC can result in copying unexpectedly large data into secure memory because of integer overflows. This affects certain cases involving execution of both AArch64 Generic Trusted Firmware (TF) BL1 code and other firmware update code.
In all Qualcomm products with Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, an integer overflow vulnerability exists in the hypervisor.
Logstash versions prior to 2.3.3, when using the Netflow Codec plugin, a remote attacker crafting malicious Netflow v5, Netflow v9 or IPFIX packets could perform a denial of service attack on the Logstash instance. The errors resulting from these crafted inputs are not handled by the codec and can cause the Logstash process to exit.
In all Qualcomm products with Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, a driver can potentially leak kernel memory.
Sendio versions before 8.2.1 were affected by a Local File Inclusion vulnerability that allowed an unauthenticated, remote attacker to read potentially sensitive system files via a specially crafted URL.
