CVSS v3.1 |
| Out-of-bounds read (buffer over-read) in the HTTP Cache-Control response header parsing in the QtNetwork module in Qt Group Qt 6.0.0 through 6.8.8, and 6.9.0 through 6.11.1, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via an excessively large Cache-Control header value returned by an untrusted or compromised HTTP server to an application using QNetworkAccessManager. Only the client side of the connection is affected and 32-bit builds are not affected; the out-of-bounds access is read-only, with no information disclosure and no code execution. |
| alsa-lib through 1.2.16.1 contains a stack buffer overflow in the __snd_ctl_ascii_elem_id_parse() function that writes one byte past a 64-byte buffer when parsing a name= field with 64 or more characters. Attackers can supply a long control-element identifier string through saved state files or command-line arguments to overwrite adjacent stack memory and crash the calling process. |
| The two built-in name-finder patterns exposed by
opennlp.tools.namefind.RegexNameFinderFactory - DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.EMAIL
and DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.URL - contain ambiguous nested quantifiers. An
application that obtains these finders through
RegexNameFinderFactory.getDefaultRegexNameFinders(...) and then applies them to
untrusted text through RegexNameFinder.find(String[]) or RegexNameFinder.find(String)
can be driven into super-linear backtracking or into unbounded matcher recursion by a
small crafted input.
For the EMAIL pattern, a long run of local-part characters that is never followed by an
@ forces the matcher to re-scan to end-of-input from every starting offset. Cost grows
quadratically with input length: an input of approximately 32 KB consumes several seconds
of CPU in a single find() call and returns no match, and each doubling of the input
multiplies the cost roughly four-fold.
For the URL pattern, the query-string sub-expression nests a capturing repetition inside
an outer repetition. The JDK matcher recurses once per query token, so an input of
approximately 4 KB containing many &-separated tokens exhausts the thread stack and
causes java.lang.StackOverflowError to propagate out of find(), terminating the
calling thread. On a thread created with a smaller stack (for example -Xss512k, typical
of server worker pools) approximately 1 KB is sufficient.
In both cases an attacker who can supply text for analysis can convert a single request
into seconds to minutes of pinned CPU, or into an abrupt thread death, denying service to
the embedding application. No authentication, special configuration, or model file is
required beyond the application having selected one of the two built-in finders.
This issue affects Apache OpenNLP: from 2.0.0 through 2.5.11; from 3.0.0-M1 through
3.0.0-M5.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.5.12, or to 3.0.0-M6 for users tracking the
3.0.0 milestone line, which fix the issue. |
| Nodemailer versions 9.1.0 through 10.0.4 contain a quadratic time complexity vulnerability in the addressparser component when parsing email addresses with RFC 5322 comments. Attackers can craft malicious email headers with comment-separated atoms to consume excessive CPU and block the Node.js event loop for several seconds, causing denial of service. |
| joi before versions 17.13.8 and 18.2.9 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability in the messages compilation function that accepts __proto__ as an error code. Attackers can supply __proto__ keys in custom messages to replace the returned object's prototype, breaking downstream code relying on Object.prototype methods. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Windows Media Foundation allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/mana: Remove user triggerable WARN_ON() in mana_ib_create_qp_rss()
Sashiko points out that the user can specify WQs sharing the same CQ as a
part of the uAPI and this will trigger the WARN_ON() then go on to corrupt
the kernel.
Just reject it outright and fail the QP creation. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Integer overflow or wraparound in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Multiple integer overflow and underflow vulnerabilities were found in the GStreamer gst-plugins-ugly ASF demuxer (asfdemux) when parsing header objects from crafted ASF, WMV, or WMA files. Insufficient validation of attacker-controlled length and size values can bypass bounds checks and cause out-of-bounds heap reads. This can result in application crash, denial of service, or limited information disclosure when untrusted media is processed. |
| Integer overflow or wraparound in SQL Server allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| Insufficient granularity of access control in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. |
| FreeRDP versions before 3.31.0 contain a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in nego_send_negotiation_request() that fails to validate the LB_LOAD_BALANCE_INFO field length before writing to a fixed 512-byte buffer. A malicious RDP server or man-in-the-middle can send a Server Redirection PDU with an oversized LB_LOAD_BALANCE_INFO value to overflow the buffer with attacker-controlled content, causing denial of service or heap corruption before authentication completes. |
| An authenticated client could attach a consumer with a selector containing crafted wildcard usage that results in excessive evaluation during message delivery attempts, occupying a shared broker thread and leading to denial of service.
This issue affects Apache Artemis: from 2.50.0 through 2.56.0; Apache ActiveMQ Artemis: from 1.0.0 through 2.44.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.57.0, which fixes this issue. |
| IBM ContextForge MCP Gateway 1.0.0 through 1.0.7 could allow a remote attacker to gain administrative access due to the use of default credentials. |
| Joomla Extension - j2commerce.com - Unescaped request data reflected into PayPal notify redirect in J2Store 1.0.0-3.3.2, 4.0.0-4.0.22, 4.1.0-4.1.7 - A crafted link to the paypal notify endpoint, if followed by a victim's browser (or an automated system that fetches it), causes the resulting redirect to `com_j2store`'s checkout controller to carry attacker-chosen query parameters instead of only the intended `view=checkout&task=confirmPayment&orderpayment_type=...&paction=process` set — parameter injection/smuggling into that follow-up request. This requires a victim to load the crafted link (`UI:R`/`UI:P`); it does not by itself grant an unauthenticated attacker anything they could not already obtain by requesting the target `com_j2store` URL directly with their own parameters. |
| Joomla Extension - j2commerce.com - Predictable/forgeable order access token in J2Store 1.0.0-3.3.2, 4.0.0-4.0.22, 4.1.0-4.1.7 - Anyone who obtains the site's Joomla `secret` can compute a valid access token for *any* order on the site without ever having placed one, gaining guest access to that order's details and any purchased digital downloads. Because the token is never rotated, this exposure persists indefinitely even after the underlying secret-disclosure vector is patched, unless the Joomla secret itself is also rotated. The attack complexity (`AC:H`) is high because it depends on the secret already being known through a separate vector; it is not directly exploitable by an anonymous visitor with no other foothold. |
| FreeRDP versions before 3.31.0 fail to validate MonitorIds array values when parsing RDP connection files, allowing unbounded array indexing in xf_detect_monitors. Attackers can craft a malicious RDP file with an out-of-range selectedmonitors value to trigger out-of-bounds heap read and write operations when opened in xfreerdp. |
