| CVE-2026-90432 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-19 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Abort directly from the hardlockup handler scx_hardlockup() defers the abort to an irq_work because exit claiming used to take scx_sched_lock and couldn't run from NMI. The deferral is now unnecessary - claiming is NMI-safe and asserting ->aborting is exactly what breaks the live-locks that hard-lock CPUs. Call handle_lockup() directly and drop the irq_work. This also makes the self-detected case recoverable: the perf watchdog fires on the hard-locked CPU itself, where a queued irq_work never runs with IRQs off. Also fix the return value: %true used to be returned whenever sched_ext was loaded, suppressing the kernel's hardlockup report even when the abort was refused. Return %true only when this call initiated the abort. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93044 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-19 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Disallow interpreter fallback for arena-related insns Since the interpreter does not support the arena-related insns, interpreter fallback should not be allowed for these insns in core.c::__bpf_prog_select_runtime(). Currently, when the interpreter executes the arena ST/LDX/STX insns, it would hit the BUG_ON() in ___bpf_prog_run() at run time. [ 2.579196] BPF interpreter: unknown opcode a2 (imm: 0x0) [ 2.579998] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 2.580652] kernel BUG at kernel/bpf/core.c:2349! [ 2.581314] Oops: invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] SMP PTI Set jit_required as true when arena map is used in the prog to disallow interpreter fallback for arena-related insns. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93132 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-19 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: RISC-V: Fix riscv_acpi_add_prt_dep() loop handling The loop in riscv_acpi_add_prt_dep() includes error conditions that are handled in a dubious - if not outright wrong - way, by continuining the loop (which skips and misses the entry pointer update to point to the next entry). Rewrite the loop as a for loop (that handles the continuation correctly) and wrap the condition and update statements using helper functions to make it cleaner. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80894 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-04 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd: Fix wrong hwpt passed to iommufd_auto_response_faults on replace iommufd_hwpt_replace_device() calls: iommufd_auto_response_faults(hwpt, old_handle); passing the *new* hwpt together with the handle of the device's *old* domain. This should be a parameter mismatch: 1. Semantically, iommufd_auto_response_faults(x, handle) scans x->fault's deliver list and response xarray for groups matching "handle". A group is queued under the hwpt that was attached at fault-delivery time. old_handle is fetched *before* the domain switch, so its group lives on old->fault, not on the new hwpt->fault. 2. Historically, the first argument was "old". The routine was introduced by commit b7d8833677ba ("iommufd: Fault-capable hwpt attach/detach/replace") as __fault_domain_replace_dev() in fault.c, correctly calling iommufd_auto_response_faults(old, curr). Commit fb21b1568ada ("iommufd: Make attach_handle generic than fault specific") moved this into iommufd_hwpt_replace_device() in device.c and swapped it to "hwpt". This should be a refactor regression, not an intentional change. Fix this by passing "old" instead. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80742 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-03 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_packet: Don't send zero-byte data in tpacket_snd(). syzbot reported a WARNING in __dev_queue_xmit() triggered via tpacket_snd(): skb_assert_len WARNING: at include/linux/skbuff.h:2753 skb_assert_len WARNING: at __dev_queue_xmit+0x21bc/0x4970 net/core/dev.c:4781 Call Trace: <TASK> dev_queue_xmit include/linux/netdevice.h:3448 [inline] packet_xmit+0x243/0x310 net/packet/af_packet.c:276 tpacket_snd net/packet/af_packet.c:2907 [inline] packet_sendmsg+0x28d6/0x4eb0 net/packet/af_packet.c:3134 When sending 0-byte packets via TPACKET ring buffer on devices with no hard header (e.g. dev->hard_header_len == 0), tpacket_fill_skb() populates an skb with skb->len == 0 and returns 0. tpacket_snd() then forwards this empty skb to packet_xmit(), causing __dev_queue_xmit() to hit skb_assert_len(skb). Similar checks exist in packet_snd() via commit dc633700f00f ("net/af_packet: check len when min_header_len equals to 0") and in packet_sendmsg_spkt() via commit 6a341729fb31 ("af_packet: Don't send zero-byte data in packet_sendmsg_spkt()."). Return -EINVAL in tpacket_fill_skb() when skb->len is zero to reject zero-length packets in tpacket_snd(). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/gfx10: replace BUG_ON() with WARN_ON() There's no need to crash the kernel for these cases. (cherry picked from commit ac6f00beb658239bced4aaed9efbb04a35348d48) | ||||
| CVE-2026-72202 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-18 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: avoid heap allocation for free-cluster readahead state get_nr_free_clusters() allocates a temporary file_ra_state before it publishes the precomputed free cluster count, sets NVolFreeClusterKnown(), and wakes vol->free_waitq. If that allocation fails, the worker returns without setting the flag or waking waiters, so callers waiting for the free count can block indefinitely. The readahead state is only used synchronously while scanning the bitmap. Keep it on the stack and pass it by address to the readahead helper. This eliminates the early allocation failure path instead of adding a special case that publishes a conservative count and wakes the waitqueue. Zero-initialize the on-stack state because file_ra_state_init() only sets ra_pages and prev_pos. Apply the same treatment to __get_nr_free_mft_records(), which scans the MFT bitmap with the same short-lived readahead state. | ||||
