CVSS v3.1 |
| The installer for Yamaha LAN Monitor for Windows provided by Yamaha Corporation may insecurely load Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs). When the installer is launched in a directory containing a specially crafted DLL file, the malicious DLL may be loaded, resulting in arbitrary code execution with administrative privileges. |
| Metalama is a Roslyn-based open-source patterns and architecture toolkit for C#. Prior to 2025.1.18, 2026.0.25 and 2026.1.19, Metalama.Framework and Metalama.Tool load and execute compile-time assemblies, auxiliary executable tools and embedded helper assemblies from predictable temporary directories. On `Linux` and `macOS`, the default `Path.GetTempPath()` location is world-writable, and existing artifacts are trusted based on sentinel or `.completed` marker files rather than integrity verification. A local unprivileged user on a shared machine or CI/build agent can pre-create the deterministic directory structure and plant a malicious DLL with the matching sentinel. When a higher-privileged developer or build account subsequently builds, Metalama skips regeneration and executes the planted artifact in the compiler, IDE or MSBuild process as the building user. This permits cross-user privilege escalation, reading source and secrets, supply-chain tampering with build output, or disrupting builds. Default Windows per-user temporary directories are protected by ACLs and are not affected. Deployer-selected insecure cache locations are outside the vulnerability's scope. This issue is fixed in versions 2025.1.18, 2026.0.25 and 2026.1.19. |
| pgAdmin 4 runs pg_dump, pg_restore, pg_dumpall and psql from the binary path a user sets in their preferences. In server mode the binary path was refused only when it lay under the per-user storage directory (STORAGE_DIR), not under a SHARED_STORAGE directory, which ordinary users can upload files to. A user could therefore upload an executable to shared storage, point their binary path at it, and have pgAdmin run it as the operating-system account running pgAdmin. On POSIX, files created through pgAdmin are not executable, so this is exploitable where any file with an executable name can run, such as Windows server mode.
The fix checks the binary path against every SHARED_STORAGE directory as well, after expanding $DIR, collapsing ".." and resolving symbolic links, compares directories in a way a different spelling on a case-insensitive filesystem cannot bypass, refuses a path containing a NUL, and enforces the check wherever binary paths are resolved, including for the PSQL tool.
This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19. |
| Luxion KeyShot BIP File Parsing Uncontrolled Search Path Element Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Luxion KeyShot. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of BIP files. The issue results from loading a library from an unsecured location. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-29268. |
| Hubstaff 1.6.13 and 1.6.14 contain a DLL search order hijacking vulnerability that allows attackers to replace a missing system32 wow64log.dll with a malicious library. Attackers can generate a custom DLL using Metasploit and place it in the system32 directory to obtain a reverse shell during application startup. |
| A potential security vulnerability has been identified in HP One Agent for certain HP PC products, which might allow for escalation
of privilege and/or arbitrary code execution. HP is releasing software updates to mitigate the potential vulnerability. |
| Creative Cloud Desktop is affected by an Uncontrolled Search Path Element vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. A low-privileged attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| Uncontrolled search path element in Windows AI allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in Siemens Software Center (All versions < V4.0.9.8). The affected application loads dynamic-link libraries (DLLs) from an uncontrolled search path. This could allow an authenticated local attacker to place a specially crafted DLL in a directory that the application searches, leading to arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the affected application. |
| An issue in nvbn thefuck v.3.32 allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code via the get_rules_import_paths in thefuck/corrector.py and Rule.from_path in thefuck/types.py |
| Dell Application Store, versions prior to 26.05.0.7, contains an Uncontrolled Path Element vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to an Elevation of Privilege and arbitrary code execution. |
| An uncontrolled search path element vulnerability in ASUS Armoury Crate allows local users to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges via replacement of a dynamic-link library (DLL) that is later loaded by a high-privilege process.

Security Update for Armoury Crate AppĀ ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| Dimension is affected by an Uncontrolled Search Path Element vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. A local attacker with user permissions could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must run the application. Scope is changed. |
| Hestia Control Panel is a lightweight and powerful control panel for the modern web. From version 1.9.7 through 1.10.4, update_object_value() in func/main.sh does not escape single quotes when writing a custom document-root value to a user's web.conf file, allowing a low-privileged authenticated panel user with a web domain to inject an additional PATH field. When the user invokes the ordinary Search feature, the root-privileged v-search-user-object script loads the forged field through parse_object_kv_list_non_eval(), which permits reserved shell-variable names and globally replaces PATH before invoking column without an absolute path. By placing a malicious column executable in the injected search path, the user can execute arbitrary code as root. This residual vulnerability was introduced when version 1.9.7 replaced the raw eval sink addressed by CVE-2026-84984 with parse_object_kv_list_non_eval(), and it is fixed in version 1.10.5. |
| MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, MariaDB RPM packages created the dedicated mysql service account with the database data directory as its home directory. A database user with the FILE privilege could write startup dot-files such as .bash_profile into $HOME, and those files could execute when an administrator opened a login shell for the mysql account. Debian packages are not affected because they use /nonexistent as the account home. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2. |
| In Python 3.6 through 3.6.10, 3.7 through 3.7.8, 3.8 through 3.8.4rc1, and 3.9 through 3.9.0b4 on Windows, a Trojan horse python3.dll might be used in cases where CPython is embedded in a native application. This occurs because python3X.dll may use an invalid search path for python3.dll loading (after Py_SetPath has been used). NOTE: this issue CANNOT occur when using python.exe from a standard (non-embedded) Python installation on Windows. |
| In Python (CPython) 3.6 through 3.6.10, 3.7 through 3.7.6, and 3.8 through 3.8.1, an insecure dependency load upon launch on Windows 7 may result in an attacker's copy of api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll being loaded and used instead of the system's copy. Windows 8 and later are unaffected. |
| A non-privileged user or program can put code and a config file in a known non-privileged path (under C:/usr/local/) that will make curl <= 7.65.1 automatically run the code (as an openssl "engine") on invocation. If that curl is invoked by a privileged user it can do anything it wants. |
