CVE-2026-80544 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Improve EP11 CPRB domain handling with ASN.1 parsing The zcrypt_msgtype6_send_ep11_cprb() function uses fragile struct overlays to access and modify the domain field in the EP11 CPRB payload, creating maintainability and security concerns: 1. Struct overlay approach (pld_hdr) assumes fixed payload structure and doesn't validate the actual ASN.1 encoding. 2. Complex length format detection logic is error-prone and doesn't properly validate bounds at each parsing step. 3. Direct struct member access bypasses proper ASN.1 validation. Fix by replacing struct overlays with explicit ASN.1 parsing that validates each field (payload tag/length, function tag/length/value, optional domain tag/length/value) with proper bounds checking at every step. Add asn1_int_encode() helper function to safely write integer values with correct endianness conversion. This makes the code consistent with the validation pattern introduced with the rework of the xcrb_msg_to_type6_ep11cprb_msgx() function.
CVE-2026-80548 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Selectively expand io_mutex The io_mutex was defined to serialize the io_regions, but then has also sort of been associated with the I/O themselves because of the close relationship they share. With the handful of races that are possible, the choices are either to: A) expand the scope of io_mutex to close these remaining windows, or B) reduce the scope of io_mutex to just io_region, and introduce a new lock mechanism for the remaining I/O resources This patch implements A, since B brings with it a lot more interactions that would need to be tracked and kept in a correct hierarchy. It also takes advantage of the workqueue element for cp_free() that now gets called out of fsm_notoper(), which could be invoked out of an interrupt context and thus cannot acquire a mutex itself.
CVE-2026-80549 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Move cp cleanup out of not operational The fsm_notoper() routine is called when the device has been lost, and is (by definition) no longer operational. Since this can happen asynchronously from the normal behavior of the driver, the cleanup may happen when holding other locks in the calling sequence (notably, the cio subchannel lock). Push the cleanup of the private->cp resources to a workqueue, where it can be done out from under that lock sequence and a future patch can safely manage the locking requirements.
CVE-2026-38347 1 Ffmpeg 1 Ffmpeg 2026-08-28 5.5 Medium
A heap overflow in the ff_sws_alphablendaway function (libswscale/alphablend.c) of FFmpeg git-master commit 722a217 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
CVE-2026-59276 1 Spring 1 Spring Security 2026-08-28 5.9 Medium
Several components in Spring Security compare security-sensitive values using standard string equality (String.equals()) rather than a constant-time comparison. Because String.equals() returns as soon as it finds a differing character, the time taken to reject an incorrect value is proportional to the number of leading characters that match the expected value. Spring Security 7.1.0 Spring Security 7.0.0 - 7.0.6 Spring Security 6.5.0 - 6.5.11 Spring Security 6.4.0 - 6.4.18 Spring Security 5.8.0 - 5.8.27 Spring Security 5.7.0 - 5.7.25
CVE-2026-59277 1 Spring 1 Spring Security 2026-08-28 3.7 Low
Spring Security's InetAddressMatchers utility provides matchInternal() and matchExternal() builders for constructing an InetAddressMatcher that classifies a given IP address as belonging to an internal (private) or external (public) network. Spring Security 7.1.0
CVE-2026-82072 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-08-28 8.8 High
Out of bounds read in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.72 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
CVE-2026-80594 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: ims-pcu - fix potential infinite loop in CDC union descriptor parsing The driver parses CDC union descriptors in ims_pcu_get_cdc_union_desc() by iterating through the extra descriptor data. However, it does not verify that the bLength of each descriptor is at least 2. A malicious device could provide a descriptor with bLength = 0, leading to an infinite loop in the driver. Add a check to ensure bLength is at least 2 before proceeding with parsing.
CVE-2026-80598 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs3: fix out-of-bounds read in decompress_lznt decompress_lznt() does not validate array index bounds before accessing the decompression table. A corrupted NTFS3 image with invalid compressed data can trigger an out-of-bounds read. Add index bounds checking to prevent the OOB access.
CVE-2026-80607 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing/probes: Remove WARN_ON_ONCE from parse_btf_arg Sashiko found that user can cause this WARN_ON_ONCE() easily with adding a kprobe event based on a raw address with BTF parameter. Since this is not an unexpected condition, remove the WARN_ON_ONCE().
CVE-2026-80636 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: conntrack: revert ct extension genid infrastructure This infrastructure is not used anymore after moving ct timeout and helper to use datapath refcount to track object use. Revert commit c56716c69ce1 ("netfilter: extensions: introduce extension genid count") this patch disables all ct extensions (leading to NULL) for unconfirmed conntracks, when this is only targeted at ct helper and ct timeout. There is also codebase that dereferences the ct extension without checking for NULL which could lead to crash.
CVE-2026-80638 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix out-of-bounds write in ocfs2_remove_refcount_extent [BUG] Unlinking a refcounted file whose refcount tree has leaf blocks triggers a fortify panic due to an out-of-bounds write. [CAUSE] When the last leaf block is removed from a refcount tree, ocfs2_remove_refcount_extent() converts the root back to leaf mode with a bulk memset on &rb->rf_records. rf_records sits in an anonymous union with rf_list. rf_list.l_tree_depth aliases rf_records.rl_count, and is 0 for a single-level tree. With rl_count equal to 0, the memset writes past the 16-byte declared size of rf_records, which the fortify checker catches. [FIX] Replace the bulk memset on &rb->rf_records with a correctly-bounded memset on rl_recs[] alone, after setting rl_count to the correct value.
CVE-2026-80641 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: wlcore: enable the right set of ciphers The firmware version number check for IGTK introduced in commit c34dbc5900b0 ("wifi: wlcore: Add support for IGTK key") lets the amount of ciphers decrease on every boot of a too old firmware and that is practically happening. It also does not take into account other chips than the wl18xx. On some wl128x, the following can be observed when connecting via nm to a common ap: [ 484.113311] wlcore: WARNING could not set keys [ 484.117828] wlcore: ERROR Could not add or replace key [ 484.123016] wlan0: failed to set key (5, ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff) to hardware (-5) [ 484.123046] wlcore: Hardware recovery in progress. Always disable IGTK on wl12xx and fix the decrementing mess.
CVE-2026-80658 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/rockchip: dw_dp: Fix null-ptr-deref in dw_dp_remove() Attempting to access driver data in the platform driver ->remove() callback may lead to a null pointer dereference since there is no guaranty that the component ->bind() callback invoking platform_set_drvdata() was executed. A common scenario is when Rockchip DRM driver didn't manage to run component_bind_all() because of an (unrelated) error causing early return from rockchip_drm_bind(). Drop the unnecessary call to platform_get_drvdata() and, instead, reference the target device structure via platform_device.
CVE-2026-80667 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: LAG, MPESW, Fix missing complete() on devcom error mlx5_mpesw_work() returned without calling complete() when mlx5_lag_get_devcom_comp() returned NULL. A caller that queued the work and waited on mpesww->comp would block indefinitely. Funnel the early-return path through a new "complete" label so the waiter is always woken.
CVE-2026-80671 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf sched: Fix register_pid() overflow, strcpy, and BUG_ON register_pid() has several issues when processing untrusted perf.data: 1. Integer overflow: (pid + 1) * sizeof(struct task_desc *) can wrap to a small value on 32-bit systems when pid is large (e.g. 0x40000000), causing realloc to return a tiny buffer followed by out-of-bounds writes in the initialization loop. 2. Heap buffer overflow: strcpy(task->comm, comm) copies the untrusted comm string into a fixed 20-byte COMM_LEN buffer with no length check. 3. BUG_ON on allocation failure: perf.data is untrusted input, so allocation failures should be handled gracefully rather than killing the process. 4. Realloc of sched->tasks assigned directly back, leaking the old pointer on failure; nr_tasks incremented before the realloc, leaving corrupted state on failure. Cap pid at PID_MAX_LIMIT (4194304, matching the kernel's maximum on 64-bit), replace strcpy with strlcpy, guard against NULL comm, replace BUG_ON with NULL returns using safe realloc patterns, and add NULL checks in callers that dereference the result.
CVE-2026-80691 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: iblock: Fix wrong PR ops NULL check for PREEMPT/RELEASE In the iblock_execute_pr_out() function, PRO_PREEMPT, PRO_PREEMPT_AND_ABORT, and PRO_RELEASE all perform callback capability checks through ops->pr_clear. The error check allows unimplemented hooks to pass through the gate, resulting dereferencing a NULL function pointer. Check whether the hooks that need to be called are supported.
CVE-2026-80709 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Fix wrong domain value verification with EP11 CPRBs There is a wrong upper limit check for the domain value when an EP11 CPRB is processed for sending to a crypto card. This check is only active on custom device nodes but may lead to access heap memory behind perms->adm when an administrative CPRB is sent. Add correct limit (AP_DOMAINS = 256) checking to fix this.
CVE-2026-80715 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igc: remove napi_synchronize() in igc_down() When an AF_XDP zero-copy application is killed abruptly, the XSK pool is torn down but NAPI keeps polling. igc_clean_rx_irq_zc() then returns the full budget on every poll, so napi_complete_done() never clears NAPI_STATE_SCHED. igc_down() calls napi_synchronize() before napi_disable(), so it spins forever waiting for that bit and the interface never goes down. Drop the napi_synchronize() and let napi_disable() do the job -- it sets NAPI_STATE_DISABLE, which forces the stuck poll to complete. Reorder it ahead of igc_set_queue_napi() so the NAPI mapping is cleared only after polling has stopped, matching the recent igb fix b1e067240379.
CVE-2026-80722 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: validate individual TWT params before driver setup ieee80211_process_rx_twt_action() only partially validates a received S1G TWT setup frame before queueing it. An individual agreement can therefore reach ieee80211_s1g_rx_twt_setup() with twt->length too short for the full struct ieee80211_twt_params. The individual path passes twt to drv_add_twt_setup(). Both the tracepoint and the driver callback consume the complete parameters block, not merely req_type. Do not pass a short individual agreement to the driver. Broadcast agreements remain unchanged because they are rejected locally after accessing only req_type. [edit commit message to not overclaim lack of validation nor understate driver impact]
