| CVE-2026-93283 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i3c: master: Fix device_register() error path When device_register() fails in i3c_master_register_new_i3c_devs(), put_device() is called to drop the reference taken by device_register(). That drops the last reference, so the device's release callback i3c_device_release() runs and frees the i3c_device. Two problems follow from that: i3c_device_release() does WARN_ON(i3cdev->desc), so it warns because desc->dev->desc still points back at the descriptor. Clear it before calling put_device(). After put_device() frees the i3c_device, desc->dev is left pointing at freed memory, so clear desc->dev as well. That prevents, for example, i3c_master_unregister_i3c_devs() seeing desc->dev as non-NULL and dereferencing it. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93287 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: smbus: reject oversized block transfers in the common path The SMBus block transfer length data->block[0] is validated in i2c_smbus_xfer_emulated() but that check runs too late for tracepoints and is skipped entirely when the adapter provides a native smbus_xfer implementation. This allows user-controlled oversized block lengths to reach tracepoint memcpy calls and driver callbacks unchecked. Add an early validation in __i2c_smbus_xfer() that rejects block transfers whose caller-supplied length is zero or exceeds I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX before any tracepoint fires or driver callback runs. data->block[0] is filled in by the device on SMBus block reads, so the check is scoped to operations where the length is actually supplied by the caller. This is consistent with the existing -EINVAL convention in the emulated path and protects all downstream consumers at once: the smbus_write tracepoint, all native smbus_xfer driver implementations, and the emulated path. Two distinct bugs are fixed by this change: Bug 1: smbus_write tracepoint OOB (include/trace/events/smbus.h) trace_smbus_write() fires before any validation and copies data->block[0]+1 bytes into a 34-byte event buffer. With block[0]=0xfe the tracepoint copies 255 bytes, overflowing by 221. | CVE-2026-93288 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_log: wait for rcu grace period before freeing pernet state sashiko reports: "nfnl_log_net_exit() calls nf_log_unset(), which clears the logger pointer without an RCU grace period. Immediately after, ops_free_list() frees the per-net state while concurrent packets might still be executing nf_log_packet() under rcu_read_lock()." Clear the pointer via .pre_exit to make sure rcu readers have completed before pernet storage is free'd. The change in nf_log_syslog.c is only done for consistency: it doesn't use pernet data. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93782 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: flush backend after device ioctls vhost-scsi translates guest response descriptors into userspace iovecs when commands are submitted. Target-core completes those commands asynchronously, so VHOST_SET_MEM_TABLE can replace the memory table while an in-flight command still retains response iovecs translated through the old table. If the old mapping is reused after VHOST_SET_MEM_TABLE returns, command completion can write the response to an unrelated userspace object. Flush the vhost-scsi backend after vhost_dev_ioctl() handles a device ioctl. This waits for in-flight commands that can still use the old response iovecs before the ioctl returns. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: preserve VFS inherited POSIX ACL mask The VFS initializes a child's POSIX ACL from the parent's default ACL and the requested creation mode. Do not mutate the parent ACL or overwrite the child's VFS-computed access and default ACLs afterwards. This preserves restrictive ACL_MASK entries and prevents SMB object creation from widening effective permissions. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: Check bounds on allocate_doorbell allocated_doorbell has an option to set the doorbell id to a specific value (used by CRIU). This value was not bounds checked. Check to confirm it's less than KFD_MAX_NUM_OF_QUEUES_PER_PROCESS. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: do not use make_bad_inode() in ocfs2_read_inode_block_full() This reverts commit 58b6fcd2ab34 ("ocfs2: mark inode bad upon validation failure during read"). Since 'make_bad_inode()' resets inode type to S_IFREG, doing this for directory inode during active VFS lookup is likely to confuse the latter, including VFS_BUG_ON_INODE() triggered in this case. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93261 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: locking/lockdep: Fix NULL pointer dereference in __lock_set_class() register_lock_class() can return NULL when the lock class pool is exhausted, graph_lock() fails, or key validation fails. However, __lock_set_class() uses the return value directly in pointer arithmetic without a NULL check: class = register_lock_class(lock, subclass, 0); hlock->class_idx = class - lock_classes; If class is NULL, this computes a wild offset that corrupts hlock->class_idx. The subsequent reacquire_held_locks() call will invoke hlock_class() with this corrupted index, leading to a NULL or out-of-bounds pointer dereference. Add the missing NULL check, consistent with how __lock_acquire() already handles this case at the same call site. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93267 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Fix potential use after free in uverbs_free_dmah() When accessing a dmah via the netlink path the only synchronization mechanism for the said dmah is rdma_restrack_get(). Currently, rdma_restrack_del() is invoked at the end of uverbs_free_dmah(), which is too late, since by that point vendor-specific resources associated with the dmah might already be freed. This can leave a short window where the dmah remains accessible through restrack, leading to a potential use-after-free. Fix this by moving the rdma_restrack_begin_del() call to the start of uverbs_free_dmah(), ensuring that the dmah is removed from restrack before its internal resources are released. This guarantees that no new users hold references to a dmah that is in the process of destruction. In addition, this change preserves the intended inverted order between create and destroy routines: resources are added to restrack at the end of successful creation, and hence shall be removed from the restrack first thing during the destruction flow, which keeps the lifecycle management consistent and predictable. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Disallow interpreter fallback for BPF_ADDR_PERCPU insn The BPF_MOV64_PERCPU_REG insn requires JIT to emit native code to for 'dst_reg = src_reg + <percpu_base_off>'. However, the interpreter ignores the 'off' at its ALU64_MOV_X label. The 'off' indicates the insn is BPF_MOV64_PERCPU_REG insn. Then, when the interpreter loads memory from the register, it will hit a page fault. | CVE-2026-93273 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: tps6594: Fix device node reference leaks in multiphase loop In tps6594_regulator_probe(), the multi-phase configuration loop calls of_find_node_by_name() to find buck nodes by name, and of_get_parent() twice to navigate to the PMIC parent node. None of the acquired node references (np, intermediate parent, np_pmic_parent) are ever released via of_node_put(), causing a reference leak on every loop iteration. Additionally, of_find_node_by_name() can return NULL, but the result was immediately passed to of_node_full_name() and of_get_parent() without a NULL check, which could lead to a NULL pointer dereference. Fix this by: - Adding a NULL check for np after of_find_node_by_name() - Storing the intermediate parent node in a local variable np_parent - Calling of_node_put() on np, np_parent and np_pmic_parent at the end of each loop iteration | ||||
| CVE-2026-93275 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel/pt: Fix stop/start with no update If pt_event_stop() is called without PERF_EF_UPDATE flag, then perf_aux_output_end() is not called. A subsequent call to pt_event_start() will call perf_aux_output_begin() again which violates the rule against nesting and triggers a WARNING in perf_aux_output_begin(). Originally, pt_event_stop() was never called without PERF_EF_UPDATE, because the only code paths to do so are from event overflow, and Intel PT does not do that. However the introduction of group throttling by commit 9734e25fbf5ae ("perf: Fix the throttle logic for a group") meant that an Intel PT event could be throttled if it was part of a group. Throttling calls PMU ->stop() / ->start() callbacks without flags. An example is when AUX area sampling is used. The following commands hit the issue: echo 10000 > /proc/sys/kernel/perf_event_max_sample_rate perf record -F32000 --aux-sample -e '{intel_pt//u,cycles:u}' \ -- bash -c 'for i in `seq 1 100000` ; do true ; done' Use PERF_HES_UPTODATE to track whether perf_aux_output_begin() and perf_aux_output_end() are balanced. A cleared PERF_HES_UPTODATE bit indicates that an AUX output context is still open. Amend pt_event_start() / pt_event_stop() accordingly so that begin/end stay balanced: - In non-snapshot mode, stop() always closes the buffer (the buffer may have run out of space, and that accounting is done by the update), so a following start() opens a fresh one as before. - In snapshot/overwrite mode, stop() without PERF_EF_UPDATE leaves the buffer open so that pt_event_snapshot_aux() can still copy from it, and start() then only re-enables tracing instead of calling perf_aux_output_begin() again. Note that pt_event_del() calls pt_event_stop() with PERF_EF_UPDATE flag set (as is required by the documentation), so a final call to perf_aux_output_end() is assured. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93277 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: Validate udata before executing commands The destroy callbacks currently zero the udata output after tearing down driver resources. If the userspace access fails, uverbs preserves the uobject and allows the destroy callback to run again, even though the driver resource has already been freed. Call ib_no_udata_io() before teardown so udata failures are detected while the resource is still intact, then return success after teardown completes. As part of this change, move ib_respond_empty_udata() to the start of the create and modify flows. While this is not strictly required for general create flows, as the core layer unwinds uobjects on failure, it is necessary for create AH. In _rdma_create_ah(), the HW object is otherwise leaked. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93785 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: validate idmap key payload length The cifs.idmap key type stores its payload length in key->datalen, which is limited to U16_MAX. Accepting a larger key payload truncates the recorded length and can make later users interpret the payload using inconsistent bounds. Reject oversized preparsed payloads before allocating or copying them. This keeps key->datalen consistent with the stored data for both inline and separately allocated idmap payloads. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93787 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-25 | 8.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: bound dirent name against end of SMB response in cifs_filldir cifs_filldir() copies the entry name out of an SMB1 TRANS2_FIND_FIRST / FIND_NEXT response using a length (de.namelen) supplied by the server. The kmalloc'd SMB response buffer is bounded, but nothing checks that de.name + de.namelen still lies inside that buffer before the eventual filldir64() -> verify_dirent_name() -> memchr() reads namelen bytes. A hostile SMB1 server that returns an oversized FileNameLength in a directory entry therefore causes memchr() to read past the end of the response slab buffer. Reachable from any user who can list a directory on a CIFS mount served by an attacker-controlled server (getdents64() on the mounted directory): BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in memchr+0x71/0x80 Read of size 1 at addr ffff88800e0640cc by task poc/115 Call Trace: dump_stack_lvl+0x64/0x80 print_report+0xce/0x620 kasan_report+0xec/0x120 memchr+0x71/0x80 filldir64+0x4c/0x6a0 cifs_filldir.constprop.0+0x9bb/0x1e00 cifs_readdir+0x2101/0x3380 iterate_dir+0x19c/0x520 __x64_sys_getdents64+0x126/0x210 do_syscall_64+0x107/0x5a0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f Pass the end-of-response pointer down to cifs_filldir() and reject entries whose name would extend past that boundary. This bug was discovered by Artiphishell's vTriage pipeline, which generated a userspace reproducer (an emulated hostile SMB1 server plus a getdents64() client) that reliably triggers the KASAN report on an unpatched kernel. The fix below was drafted with the Claude coding assistant; a userspace reproducer is available on request. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix out-of-bounds tid_data access in BA notif mvmsta->tid_data was indexed by the TFD loop counter 'i' instead of the actual TID value 'tid'. This writes lq_color into a random tid_data slot unrelated to the BA entry. Since multi-TID blockack is not really in use, 'i' was always 0 and no harm was done. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: pcie: null RX pointers after free When iwl_pcie_tx_init() fails after RX init, nic init unwinds via iwl_pcie_rx_free(). The freed RX members stayed non-NULL on the live transport object, so later teardown or retry could touch stale RX state. Set rx_pool, global_table, rxq, and alloc_page to NULL after free to make repeated cleanup and retry paths safe. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rsi: avoid reading TKIP MIC keys for non-TKIP ciphers rsi_hal_load_key() copies tx_mic_key and rx_mic_key from data[16] and data[24] whenever key data is present. Those offsets are only part of the 32-byte TKIP key layout. Shorter keys used by other ciphers, such as CCMP, do not provide those bytes, so the unconditional copies can read past the supplied key buffer. Only copy the MIC keys for TKIP, and reject malformed TKIP keys that are shorter than the expected 32-byte layout. [drop useless length check] | ||||
