| CVE-2025-40254 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-16 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: remove never-working support for setting nsh fields The validation of the set(nsh(...)) action is completely wrong. It runs through the nsh_key_put_from_nlattr() function that is the same function that validates NSH keys for the flow match and the push_nsh() action. However, the set(nsh(...)) has a very different memory layout. Nested attributes in there are doubled in size in case of the masked set(). That makes proper validation impossible. There is also confusion in the code between the 'masked' flag, that says that the nested attributes are doubled in size containing both the value and the mask, and the 'is_mask' that says that the value we're parsing is the mask. This is causing kernel crash on trying to write into mask part of the match with SW_FLOW_KEY_PUT() during validation, while validate_nsh() doesn't allocate any memory for it: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000018 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page PGD 1c2383067 P4D 1c2383067 PUD 20b703067 PMD 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP NOPTI CPU: 8 UID: 0 Kdump: loaded Not tainted 6.17.0-rc4+ #107 PREEMPT(voluntary) RIP: 0010:nsh_key_put_from_nlattr+0x19d/0x610 [openvswitch] Call Trace: <TASK> validate_nsh+0x60/0x90 [openvswitch] validate_set.constprop.0+0x270/0x3c0 [openvswitch] __ovs_nla_copy_actions+0x477/0x860 [openvswitch] ovs_nla_copy_actions+0x8d/0x100 [openvswitch] ovs_packet_cmd_execute+0x1cc/0x310 [openvswitch] genl_family_rcv_msg_doit+0xdb/0x130 genl_family_rcv_msg+0x14b/0x220 genl_rcv_msg+0x47/0xa0 netlink_rcv_skb+0x53/0x100 genl_rcv+0x24/0x40 netlink_unicast+0x280/0x3b0 netlink_sendmsg+0x1f7/0x430 ____sys_sendmsg+0x36b/0x3a0 ___sys_sendmsg+0x87/0xd0 __sys_sendmsg+0x6d/0xd0 do_syscall_64+0x7b/0x2c0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e The third issue with this process is that while trying to convert the non-masked set into masked one, validate_set() copies and doubles the size of the OVS_KEY_ATTR_NSH as if it didn't have any nested attributes. It should be copying each nested attribute and doubling them in size independently. And the process must be properly reversed during the conversion back from masked to a non-masked variant during the flow dump. In the end, the only two outcomes of trying to use this action are either validation failure or a kernel crash. And if somehow someone manages to install a flow with such an action, it will most definitely not do what it is supposed to, since all the keys and the masks are mixed up. Fixing all the issues is a complex task as it requires re-writing most of the validation code. Given that and the fact that this functionality never worked since introduction, let's just remove it altogether. It's better to re-introduce it later with a proper implementation instead of trying to fix it in stable releases. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40240 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-16 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: avoid NULL dereference when chunk data buffer is missing chunk->skb pointer is dereferenced in the if-block where it's supposed to be NULL only. chunk->skb can only be NULL if chunk->head_skb is not. Check for frag_list instead and do it just before replacing chunk->skb. We're sure that otherwise chunk->skb is non-NULL because of outer if() condition. | ||||

| CVE-2026-20127 | 1 Cisco | 2 Catalyst Sd-wan Manager, Sd-wan Vsmart Controller | 2026-06-16 | 10 Critical |
| A vulnerability in the peering authentication in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Controller, formerly SD-WAN vSmart, Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager, formerly SD-WAN vManage, and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Validator, formerly SD-WAN vBond, could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass authentication and obtain administrative privileges on an affected system. This vulnerability exists because the peering authentication mechanism in an affected system is not working properly. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted requests to an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to log in to an affected Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Controller as an internal, high-privileged, non-root user account. Using this account, the attacker could access NETCONF, which would then allow the attacker to manipulate network configuration for the SD-WAN fabric. | ||||

| CVE-2025-71194 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-16 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix deadlock in wait_current_trans() due to ignored transaction type When wait_current_trans() is called during start_transaction(), it currently waits for a blocked transaction without considering whether the given transaction type actually needs to wait for that particular transaction state. The btrfs_blocked_trans_types[] array already defines which transaction types should wait for which transaction states, but this check was missing in wait_current_trans(). This can lead to a deadlock scenario involving two transactions and pending ordered extents: 1. Transaction A is in TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_DOING state 2. A worker processing an ordered extent calls start_transaction() with TRANS_JOIN 3. join_transaction() returns -EBUSY because Transaction A is in TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_DOING 4. Transaction A moves to TRANS_STATE_UNBLOCKED and completes 5. A new Transaction B is created (TRANS_STATE_RUNNING) 6. The ordered extent from step 2 is added to Transaction B's pending ordered extents 7. Transaction B immediately starts commit by another task and enters TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_START 8. The worker finally reaches wait_current_trans(), sees Transaction B in TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_START (a blocked state), and waits unconditionally 9. However, TRANS_JOIN should NOT wait for TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_START according to btrfs_blocked_trans_types[] 10. Transaction B is waiting for pending ordered extents to complete 11. Deadlock: Transaction B waits for ordered extent, ordered extent waits for Transaction B This can be illustrated by the following call stacks: CPU0 CPU1 btrfs_finish_ordered_io() start_transaction(TRANS_JOIN) join_transaction() # -EBUSY (Transaction A is # TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_DOING) # Transaction A completes # Transaction B created # ordered extent added to # Transaction B's pending list btrfs_commit_transaction() # Transaction B enters # TRANS_STATE_COMMIT_START # waiting for pending ordered # extents wait_current_trans() # waits for Transaction B # (should not wait!) Task bstore_kv_sync in btrfs_commit_transaction waiting for ordered extents: __schedule+0x2e7/0x8a0 schedule+0x64/0xe0 btrfs_commit_transaction+0xbf7/0xda0 [btrfs] btrfs_sync_file+0x342/0x4d0 [btrfs] __x64_sys_fdatasync+0x4b/0x80 do_syscall_64+0x33/0x40 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x44/0xa9 Task kworker in wait_current_trans waiting for transaction commit: Workqueue: btrfs-syno_nocow btrfs_work_helper [btrfs] __schedule+0x2e7/0x8a0 schedule+0x64/0xe0 wait_current_trans+0xb0/0x110 [btrfs] start_transaction+0x346/0x5b0 [btrfs] btrfs_finish_ordered_io.isra.0+0x49b/0x9c0 [btrfs] btrfs_work_helper+0xe8/0x350 [btrfs] process_one_work+0x1d3/0x3c0 worker_thread+0x4d/0x3e0 kthread+0x12d/0x150 ret_from_fork+0x1f/0x30 Fix this by passing the transaction type to wait_current_trans() and checking btrfs_blocked_trans_types[cur_trans->state] against the given type before deciding to wait. This ensures that transaction types which are allowed to join during certain blocked states will not unnecessarily wait and cause deadlocks. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46028 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-16 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: algif_aead - snapshot IV for async AEAD requests AF_ALG AEAD AIO requests currently use the socket-wide IV buffer during request processing. For async requests, later socket activity can update that shared state before the original request has fully completed, which can lead to inconsistent IV handling. Snapshot the IV into per-request storage when preparing the AEAD request, so in-flight operations no longer depend on mutable socket state. | ||||
| CVE-2026-12143 | 2 Form-data, Redhat | 2 Form-data, Service Mesh | 2026-06-16 | 7.5 High |
| form-data is a library for creating readable multipart/form-data streams. In versions through 4.0.5, the `field` argument to `FormData#append` and the `filename` option are concatenated verbatim into the `Content-Disposition` header without escaping carriage return (CR), line feed (LF), or double-quote (") characters. An application that passes attacker-controlled data as a field name or filename (for example, an API gateway that turns JSON object keys into multipart field names) allows the attacker to terminate the header line and inject additional headers, or to smuggle entire additional multipart parts, into the request the application forwards to a backend. This can let the attacker add or override form fields (e.g. set `is_admin=true`) seen by the downstream parser. This is an instance of CWE-93 (CRLF injection). The fix escapes CR, LF, and `"` as `%0D`, `%0A`, and `%22` in field names and filenames, matching the serialization browsers use per the WHATWG HTML multipart/form-data encoding algorithm. Exploitation requires the consuming application to use untrusted input as a field name or filename; applications that use only fixed/trusted field names are not affected. Fixed in 2.5.6, 3.0.5, and 4.0.6. | ||||
| CVE-2026-1765 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-06-16 | 5.6 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the `tracker-extract-mp3` component of GNOME localsearch (previously known as tracker-miners). This vulnerability, a heap buffer overflow, occurs when processing specially crafted MP3 files. A remote attacker could exploit this by providing a malicious MP3 file, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) where the application crashes. It may also potentially expose sensitive information from the system's memory. | ||||
| CVE-2026-1764 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-06-16 | 5.6 Medium |
| A flaw was found in GNOME localsearch (previously known as tracker-miners) MP3 Extractor. When processing specially crafted MP3 files containing ID3v2.4 tags, a missing bounds check in the `extract_performers_tags` function can lead to a heap buffer overflow. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by triggering a read of unmapped memory. In some cases, it could also lead to information disclosure by reading visible heap data. | ||||
| CVE-2026-34040 | 2 Docker, Moby | 2 Engine, Moby | 2026-06-16 | 8.8 High |
| Moby is an open source container framework. Prior to version 29.3.1, a security vulnerability has been detected that allows attackers to bypass authorization plugins (AuthZ). This issue has been patched in version 29.3.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-33997 | 2 Docker, Moby | 2 Engine, Moby | 2026-06-16 | 6.8 Medium |
| Moby is an open source container framework. Prior to version 29.3.1, a security vulnerability has been detected that allows plugins privilege validation to be bypassed during docker plugin install. Due to an error in the daemon's privilege comparison logic, the daemon may incorrectly accept a privilege set that differs from the one approved by the user. Plugins that request exactly one privilege are also affected, because no comparison is performed at all. This issue has been patched in version 29.3.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45998 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-16 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Fix potential UAF after skb_unshare() failure If skb_unshare() fails to unshare a packet due to allocation failure in rxrpc_input_packet(), the skb pointer in the parent (rxrpc_io_thread()) will be NULL'd out. This will likely cause the call to trace_rxrpc_rx_done() to oops. Fix this by moving the unsharing down to where rxrpc_input_call_event() calls rxrpc_input_call_packet(). There are a number of places prior to that where we ignore DATA packets for a variety of reasons (such as the call already being complete) for which an unshare is then avoided. And with that, rxrpc_input_packet() doesn't need to take a pointer to the pointer to the packet, so change that to just a pointer. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46000 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-16 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Fix conn-level packet handling to unshare RESPONSE packets The security operations that verify the RESPONSE packets decrypt bits of it in place - however, the sk_buff may be shared with a packet sniffer, which would lead to the sniffer seeing an apparently corrupt packet (actually decrypted). Fix this by handing a copy of the packet off to the specific security handler if the packet was cloned. | ||||
| CVE-2026-20262 | 1 Cisco | 1 Catalyst Sd-wan Manager | 2026-06-16 | 6.5 Medium |
| A vulnerability in the web UI of Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager, formerly SD-WAN vManage, could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to create a file or overwrite any file on the filesystem of an affected system. This vulnerability exists because the affected software does not properly validate user-supplied input during a file upload process. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request to an affected API endpoint of the affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to create or overwrite any file on the underlying operating system. This file could later be used to elevate to root. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid credentials with at least a lower-privileged, single-task user account. | ||||
