Affected versions of Flowintel allow the LOG_FILE configuration value to be modified through system settings without restricting it to a filename inside the intended log directory. Because the application constructs the log destination from this configurable value, an administrator could set LOG_FILE to an arbitrary filesystem path. Since attackers can influence logged content, this enables controlled data to be written into unintended files. The upstream commit specifically describes an exploitation chain in which an attacker injects a template into a chosen file and subsequently abuses application rendering behavior to execute code. The patch removes LOG_FILE from the web-editable settings, introduces validate_log_file_name() to reject absolute paths, traversal, Windows paths, null bytes, and directory components, and centralizes log path construction through resolve_log_file_path(). Because Mermaid note content is persisted and later rendered for other users, an attacker with permission to create or edit a note could store a crafted Mermaid payload that results in JavaScript execution when another user views the affected case note. The patch adds explicit Mermaid detection and HTML escaping around the token content before the generated Mermaid wrapper is returned. Frappe is a full-stack web application framework written in Python and JavaScript. Prior to version 15.115.0, an access control bypass in the REST API allows a user to read data from Linked DocTypes that they are not authorized to access. When a document references another document through a Link field, the framework does not consistently enforce the linked DocType's own permissions when the record is retrieved through the REST API, so a low-privileged authenticated user can obtain fields from linked records outside their permitted scope. This issue is fixed in version 15.115.0.

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Dia diagram editor WPG file format importer. In plug-ins/wpg/wpg-import.c, the WPG import renderer allocates a fixed palette with: ren->pPal = g_new0(WPGColorRGB, 256); When handling a WPG_COLORMAP record, the parser reads a start index (i16) and number of colors (iNum16) from the file and reads palette data with: bRet &= (iNum16 == (int)fread(&ren->pPal[i16], sizeof(WPGColorRGB), iNum16, f)); The only bounds-related check is `if (i16 >= 0 && i16 <= iSize)`, where iSize is the WPG record size—not the palette capacity. There is no validation that i16 is less than 256 or that i16 + iNum16 does not exceed 256. A malicious WPG file can supply i16=256 and iNum16=264. That causes fread() to write 792 bytes starting at &pPal[256], while the palette buffer is only 768 bytes (256 entries × 3 bytes). This overflows into adjacent heap metadata and can crash Dia (SIGABRT / malloc corruption errors) or, depending on heap layout and exploit primitives, potentially lead to arbitrary code execution. Exploitation requires convincing a user to open a crafted WPG file via Dia's file dialog, command line, or file association. No special privileges are required to deliver the file to the victim. Affected component: WPG parser (plug-ins/wpg/wpg-import.c). Affected versions: all Dia versions containing this code path (reporter tested Dia 0.98+git20260221-1; issue present on upstream master as of 2026-08-21).

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection') vulnerability in Apache CloudStack's run and get diagnostics functionality for the system VMs and virtual routers. An authenticated user holding the permissions required to invoke either `getDiagnosticsData` or `runDiagnostics` can achieve arbitrary command execution on the system VM and/or Virtual Router instances, with commands running as root (or as the diagnostics-process user, at minimum). This represents a full compromise of the affected instance and, depending on network segmentation, may provide a foothold for lateral movement within the CloudStack-managed infrastructure, including access to guest network traffic handled by the compromised Virtual Router. The getDiagnosticsData and runDiagnostics APIs are restricted to only Admin role accounts by default. Adminer 4.6.0 through 5.5.0 (fixed in 5.5.1) contains an incomplete fix for a prior X-Forwarded-Prefix vulnerability (GHSA-8478-xrj3-h9c2). The validation guard (bootstrap.inc.php) only rejects prefixes matching ^/[^/], blocking //evil.com but allowing values such as /\evil.com whose second character is a backslash. Because browsers normalize backslash to forward slash, a network-path reference survives into REQUEST_URI and reaches cookie_path(), affecting the Set-Cookie Path attribute. Exploitation requires that clients can set the X-Forwarded-Prefix header (a misconfigured or absent reverse proxy). Impact is limited to anomalous cookie-path scoping.

OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. Versions prior to 3.2.10, 3.3.12 and 3.4.13 contain a heap out-of-bounds write in Imf_4_0::SampleCountChannel::set(int r, unsigned int newNumSamples[]). The row-based sample-count setter computes the target Y coordinate with dataWindow.min.x instead of dataWindow.min.y. For a valid deep image data window where min.x != min.y, a valid row index can be translated into an invalid Y coordinate, causing writes before the allocated _numSamples buffer. The vulnerability is reachable through the public OpenEXRUtil DeepImage API and can lead to heap corruption and process crashes. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.2.10, 3.3.12 and 3.4.13.
