| Improper neutralization of input during web page generation ('Cross-site Scripting') (CWE-79) allows an authenticated user to embed a malicious script in content that will be served to web browsers causing cross-site scripting (XSS) (CAPEC-63) via a method in Vega bypassing a previous Vega XSS mitigation. | ||||
| CVE-2024-35791 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2025-12-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SVM: Flush pages under kvm->lock to fix UAF in svm_register_enc_region() Do the cache flush of converted pages in svm_register_enc_region() before dropping kvm->lock to fix use-after-free issues where region and/or its array of pages could be freed by a different task, e.g. if userspace has __unregister_enc_region_locked() already queued up for the region. Note, the "obvious" alternative of using local variables doesn't fully resolve the bug, as region->pages is also dynamically allocated. I.e. the region structure itself would be fine, but region->pages could be freed. Flushing multiple pages under kvm->lock is unfortunate, but the entire flow is a rare slow path, and the manual flush is only needed on CPUs that lack coherency for encrypted memory. | ||||
| CVE-2025-38416 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2025-12-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFC: nci: uart: Set tty->disc_data only in success path Setting tty->disc_data before opening the NCI device means we need to clean it up on error paths. This also opens some short window if device starts sending data, even before NCIUARTSETDRIVER IOCTL succeeded (broken hardware?). Close the window by exposing tty->disc_data only on the success path, when opening of the NCI device and try_module_get() succeeds. The code differs in error path in one aspect: tty->disc_data won't be ever assigned thus NULL-ified. This however should not be relevant difference, because of "tty->disc_data=NULL" in nci_uart_tty_open(). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: ims-pcu - check record size in ims_pcu_flash_firmware() The "len" variable comes from the firmware and we generally do trust firmware, but it's always better to double check. If the "len" is too large it could result in memory corruption when we do "memcpy(fragment->data, rec->data, len);" | ||||

| CVE-2022-50274 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-12-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvbdev: adopts refcnt to avoid UAF dvb_unregister_device() is known that prone to use-after-free. That is, the cleanup from dvb_unregister_device() releases the dvb_device even if there are pointers stored in file->private_data still refer to it. This patch adds a reference counter into struct dvb_device and delays its deallocation until no pointer refers to the object. | ||||

| CVE-2022-49834 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-12-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: fix use-after-free bug of ns_writer on remount If a nilfs2 filesystem is downgraded to read-only due to metadata corruption on disk and is remounted read/write, or if emergency read-only remount is performed, detaching a log writer and synchronizing the filesystem can be done at the same time. In these cases, use-after-free of the log writer (hereinafter nilfs->ns_writer) can happen as shown in the scenario below: Task1 Task2 -------------------------------- ------------------------------ nilfs_construct_segment nilfs_segctor_sync init_wait init_waitqueue_entry add_wait_queue schedule nilfs_remount (R/W remount case) nilfs_attach_log_writer nilfs_detach_log_writer nilfs_segctor_destroy kfree finish_wait _raw_spin_lock_irqsave __raw_spin_lock_irqsave do_raw_spin_lock debug_spin_lock_before <-- use-after-free While Task1 is sleeping, nilfs->ns_writer is freed by Task2. After Task1 waked up, Task1 accesses nilfs->ns_writer which is already freed. This scenario diagram is based on the Shigeru Yoshida's post [1]. This patch fixes the issue by not detaching nilfs->ns_writer on remount so that this UAF race doesn't happen. Along with this change, this patch also inserts a few necessary read-only checks with superblock instance where only the ns_writer pointer was used to check if the filesystem is read-only. | ||||
| CVE-2022-49651 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2025-12-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: srcu: Tighten cleanup_srcu_struct() GP checks Currently, cleanup_srcu_struct() checks for a grace period in progress, but it does not check for a grace period that has not yet started but which might start at any time. Such a situation could result in a use-after-free bug, so this commit adds a check for a grace period that is needed but not yet started to cleanup_srcu_struct(). | ||||
| CVE-2022-49622 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-12-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: avoid skb access on nf_stolen When verdict is NF_STOLEN, the skb might have been freed. When tracing is enabled, this can result in a use-after-free: 1. access to skb->nf_trace 2. access to skb->mark 3. computation of trace id 4. dump of packet payload To avoid 1, keep a cached copy of skb->nf_trace in the trace state struct. Refresh this copy whenever verdict is != STOLEN. Avoid 2 by skipping skb->mark access if verdict is STOLEN. 3 is avoided by precomputing the trace id. Only dump the packet when verdict is not "STOLEN". | ||||
