| CVE-2024-35954 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-08-04 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: sg: Avoid sg device teardown race sg_remove_sfp_usercontext() must not use sg_device_destroy() after calling scsi_device_put(). sg_device_destroy() is accessing the parent scsi_device request_queue which will already be set to NULL when the preceding call to scsi_device_put() removed the last reference to the parent scsi_device. The resulting NULL pointer exception will then crash the kernel. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panfrost: Fix the error path in panfrost_mmu_map_fault_addr() Subject: [PATCH] drm/panfrost: Fix the error path in panfrost_mmu_map_fault_addr() If some the pages or sgt allocation failed, we shouldn't release the pages ref we got earlier, otherwise we will end up with unbalanced get/put_pages() calls. We should instead leave everything in place and let the BO release function deal with extra cleanup when the object is destroyed, or let the fault handler try again next time it's called. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/client: Fully protect modes[] with dev->mode_config.mutex The modes[] array contains pointers to modes on the connectors' mode lists, which are protected by dev->mode_config.mutex. Thus we need to extend modes[] the same protection or by the time we use it the elements may already be pointing to freed/reused memory. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bcachefs: Check for journal entries overruning end of sb clean section Fix a missing bounds check in superblock validation. Note that we don't yet have repair code for this case - repair code for individual items is generally low priority, since the whole superblock is checksummed, validated prior to write, and we have backups. | ||||
| CVE-2024-35939 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-08-04 | 9.3 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dma-direct: Leak pages on dma_set_decrypted() failure On TDX it is possible for the untrusted host to cause set_memory_encrypted() or set_memory_decrypted() to fail such that an error is returned and the resulting memory is shared. Callers need to take care to handle these errors to avoid returning decrypted (shared) memory to the page allocator, which could lead to functional or security issues. DMA could free decrypted/shared pages if dma_set_decrypted() fails. This should be a rare case. Just leak the pages in this case instead of freeing them. | ||||
| CVE-2024-35937 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-08-04 | 8.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: check A-MSDU format more carefully If it looks like there's another subframe in the A-MSDU but the header isn't fully there, we can end up reading data out of bounds, only to discard later. Make this a bit more careful and check if the subframe header can even be present. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nci: Fix uninit-value in nci_dev_up and nci_ntf_packet syzbot reported the following uninit-value access issue [1][2]: nci_rx_work() parses and processes received packet. When the payload length is zero, each message type handler reads uninitialized payload and KMSAN detects this issue. The receipt of a packet with a zero-size payload is considered unexpected, and therefore, such packets should be silently discarded. This patch resolved this issue by checking payload size before calling each message type handler codes. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: properly terminate timers for kernel sockets We had various syzbot reports about tcp timers firing after the corresponding netns has been dismantled. Fortunately Josef Bacik could trigger the issue more often, and could test a patch I wrote two years ago. When TCP sockets are closed, we call inet_csk_clear_xmit_timers() to 'stop' the timers. inet_csk_clear_xmit_timers() can be called from any context, including when socket lock is held. This is the reason it uses sk_stop_timer(), aka del_timer(). This means that ongoing timers might finish much later. For user sockets, this is fine because each running timer holds a reference on the socket, and the user socket holds a reference on the netns. For kernel sockets, we risk that the netns is freed before timer can complete, because kernel sockets do not hold reference on the netns. This patch adds inet_csk_clear_xmit_timers_sync() function that using sk_stop_timer_sync() to make sure all timers are terminated before the kernel socket is released. Modules using kernel sockets close them in their netns exit() handler. Also add sock_not_owned_by_me() helper to get LOCKDEP support : inet_csk_clear_xmit_timers_sync() must not be called while socket lock is held. It is very possible we can revert in the future commit 3a58f13a881e ("net: rds: acquire refcount on TCP sockets") which attempted to solve the issue in rds only. (net/smc/af_smc.c and net/mptcp/subflow.c have similar code) We probably can remove the check_net() tests from tcp_out_of_resources() and __tcp_close() in the future. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: flush pending destroy work before exit_net release Similar to 2c9f0293280e ("netfilter: nf_tables: flush pending destroy work before netlink notifier") to address a race between exit_net and the destroy workqueue. The trace below shows an element to be released via destroy workqueue while exit_net path (triggered via module removal) has already released the set that is used in such transaction. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: Fix potential data-race in __nft_flowtable_type_get() nft_unregister_flowtable_type() within nf_flow_inet_module_exit() can concurrent with __nft_flowtable_type_get() within nf_tables_newflowtable(). And thhere is not any protection when iterate over nf_tables_flowtables list in __nft_flowtable_type_get(). Therefore, there is pertential data-race of nf_tables_flowtables list entry. Use list_for_each_entry_rcu() to iterate over nf_tables_flowtables list in __nft_flowtable_type_get(), and use rcu_read_lock() in the caller nft_flowtable_type_get() to protect the entire type query process. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: discard table flag update with pending basechain deletion Hook unregistration is deferred to the commit phase, same occurs with hook updates triggered by the table dormant flag. When both commands are combined, this results in deleting a basechain while leaving its hook still registered in the core. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gro: fix ownership transfer If packets are GROed with fraglist they might be segmented later on and continue their journey in the stack. In skb_segment_list those skbs can be reused as-is. This is an issue as their destructor was removed in skb_gro_receive_list but not the reference to their socket, and then they can't be orphaned. Fix this by also removing the reference to the socket. For example this could be observed, kernel BUG at include/linux/skbuff.h:3131!
