CVE-2024-39469 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: fix nilfs_empty_dir() misjudgment and long loop on I/O errors The error handling in nilfs_empty_dir() when a directory folio/page read fails is incorrect, as in the old ext2 implementation, and if the folio/page cannot be read or nilfs_check_folio() fails, it will falsely determine the directory as empty and corrupt the file system. In addition, since nilfs_empty_dir() does not immediately return on a failed folio/page read, but continues to loop, this can cause a long loop with I/O if i_size of the directory's inode is also corrupted, causing the log writer thread to wait and hang, as reported by syzbot. Fix these issues by making nilfs_empty_dir() immediately return a false value (0) if it fails to get a directory folio/page.
CVE-2024-36914 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Skip on writeback when it's not applicable [WHY] dynamic memory safety error detector (KASAN) catches and generates error messages "BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds" as writeback connector does not support certain features which are not initialized. [HOW] Skip them when connector type is DRM_MODE_CONNECTOR_WRITEBACK.
CVE-2024-35963 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sock: Fix not validating setsockopt user input Check user input length before copying data.
CVE-2024-20696 1 Microsoft 9 Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2, Windows 10 22h2 and 6 more 2025-11-03 7.3 High
Windows libarchive Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
CVE-2023-52760 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: Fix slab-use-after-free in gfs2_qd_dealloc In gfs2_put_super(), whether withdrawn or not, the quota should be cleaned up by gfs2_quota_cleanup(). Otherwise, struct gfs2_sbd will be freed before gfs2_qd_dealloc (rcu callback) has run for all gfs2_quota_data objects, resulting in use-after-free. Also, gfs2_destroy_threads() and gfs2_quota_cleanup() is already called by gfs2_make_fs_ro(), so in gfs2_put_super(), after calling gfs2_make_fs_ro(), there is no need to call them again.
CVE-2023-28447 2 Fedoraproject, Smarty 2 Fedora, Smarty 2025-11-03 7.1 High
Smarty is a template engine for PHP. In affected versions smarty did not properly escape javascript code. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of the user's browser session. This may lead to unauthorized access to sensitive user data, manipulation of the web application's behavior, or unauthorized actions performed on behalf of the user. Users are advised to upgrade to either version 3.1.48 or to 4.3.1 to resolve this issue. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
CVE-2023-26159 2 Follow-redirects, Redhat 14 Follow Redirects, Acm, Cluster Observability Operator and 11 more 2025-11-03 7.3 High
Versions of the package follow-redirects before 1.15.4 are vulnerable to Improper Input Validation due to the improper handling of URLs by the url.parse() function. When new URL() throws an error, it can be manipulated to misinterpret the hostname. An attacker could exploit this weakness to redirect traffic to a malicious site, potentially leading to information disclosure, phishing attacks, or other security breaches.
CVE-2022-45061 4 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Python and 1 more 13 Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager, Bootstrap Os and 10 more 2025-11-03 7.5 High
An issue was discovered in Python before 3.11.1. An unnecessary quadratic algorithm exists in one path when processing some inputs to the IDNA (RFC 3490) decoder, such that a crafted, unreasonably long name being presented to the decoder could lead to a CPU denial of service. Hostnames are often supplied by remote servers that could be controlled by a malicious actor; in such a scenario, they could trigger excessive CPU consumption on the client attempting to make use of an attacker-supplied supposed hostname. For example, the attack payload could be placed in the Location header of an HTTP response with status code 302. A fix is planned in 3.11.1, 3.10.9, 3.9.16, 3.8.16, and 3.7.16.
CVE-2021-3669 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Ibm and 2 more 24 Debian Linux, Fedora, Spectrum Copy Data Management and 21 more 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. Measuring usage of the shared memory does not scale with large shared memory segment counts which could lead to resource exhaustion and DoS.
CVE-2025-21689 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: quatech2: fix null-ptr-deref in qt2_process_read_urb() This patch addresses a null-ptr-deref in qt2_process_read_urb() due to an incorrect bounds check in the following: if (newport > serial->num_ports) { dev_err(&port->dev, "%s - port change to invalid port: %i\n", __func__, newport); break; } The condition doesn't account for the valid range of the serial->port buffer, which is from 0 to serial->num_ports - 1. When newport is equal to serial->num_ports, the assignment of "port" in the following code is out-of-bounds and NULL: serial_priv->current_port = newport; port = serial->port[serial_priv->current_port]; The fix checks if newport is greater than or equal to serial->num_ports indicating it is out-of-bounds.
CVE-2025-21665 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: filemap: avoid truncating 64-bit offset to 32 bits On 32-bit kernels, folio_seek_hole_data() was inadvertently truncating a 64-bit value to 32 bits, leading to a possible infinite loop when writing to an xfs filesystem.
CVE-2025-1217 2 Php, Redhat 2 Php, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 3.1 Low
In PHP from 8.1.* before 8.1.32, from 8.2.* before 8.2.28, from 8.3.* before 8.3.19, from 8.4.* before 8.4.5, when http request module parses HTTP response obtained from a server, folded headers are parsed incorrectly, which may lead to misinterpreting the response and using incorrect headers, MIME types, etc.
CVE-2024-5594 1 Openvpn 1 Openvpn 2025-11-03 9.1 Critical
OpenVPN before 2.6.11 does not santize PUSH_REPLY messages properly which an attacker controlling the server can use to inject unexpected arbitrary data ending up in client logs.
CVE-2024-57887 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm: adv7511: Fix use-after-free in adv7533_attach_dsi() The host_node pointer was assigned and freed in adv7533_parse_dt(), and later, adv7533_attach_dsi() uses the same. Fix this use-after-free issue by dropping of_node_put() in adv7533_parse_dt() and calling of_node_put() in error path of probe() and also in the remove().
CVE-2024-57791 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: check return value of sock_recvmsg when draining clc data When receiving clc msg, the field length in smc_clc_msg_hdr indicates the length of msg should be received from network and the value should not be fully trusted as it is from the network. Once the value of length exceeds the value of buflen in function smc_clc_wait_msg it may run into deadloop when trying to drain the remaining data exceeding buflen. This patch checks the return value of sock_recvmsg when draining data in case of deadloop in draining.
CVE-2024-56787 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: imx8m: Probe the SoC driver as platform driver With driver_async_probe=* on kernel command line, the following trace is produced because on i.MX8M Plus hardware because the soc-imx8m.c driver calls of_clk_get_by_name() which returns -EPROBE_DEFER because the clock driver is not yet probed. This was not detected during regular testing without driver_async_probe. Convert the SoC code to platform driver and instantiate a platform device in its current device_initcall() to probe the platform driver. Rework .soc_revision callback to always return valid error code and return SoC revision via parameter. This way, if anything in the .soc_revision callback return -EPROBE_DEFER, it gets propagated to .probe and the .probe will get retried later. CVE-2024-56783 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_socket: remove WARN_ON_ONCE on maximum cgroup level cgroup maximum depth is INT_MAX by default, there is a cgroup toggle to restrict this maximum depth to a more reasonable value not to harm performance. Remove unnecessary WARN_ON_ONCE which is reachable from userspace.
CVE-2024-56780 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: quota: flush quota_release_work upon quota writeback One of the paths quota writeback is called from is: freeze_super() sync_filesystem() ext4_sync_fs() dquot_writeback_dquots() Since we currently don't always flush the quota_release_work queue in this path, we can end up with the following race: 1. dquot are added to releasing_dquots list during regular operations. 2. FS Freeze starts, however, this does not flush the quota_release_work queue. 3. Freeze completes. 4. Kernel eventually tries to flush the workqueue while FS is frozen which hits a WARN_ON since transaction gets started during frozen state: ext4_journal_check_start+0x28/0x110 [ext4] (unreliable) __ext4_journal_start_sb+0x64/0x1c0 [ext4] ext4_release_dquot+0x90/0x1d0 [ext4] quota_release_workfn+0x43c/0x4d0 Which is the following line: WARN_ON(sb->s_writers.frozen == SB_FREEZE_COMPLETE); Which ultimately results in generic/390 failing due to dmesg noise. This was detected on powerpc machine 15 cores. To avoid this, make sure to flush the workqueue during dquot_writeback_dquots() so we dont have any pending workitems after freeze.
CVE-2024-56778 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/sti: avoid potential dereference of error pointers in sti_hqvdp_atomic_check The return value of drm_atomic_get_crtc_state() needs to be checked. To avoid use of error pointer 'crtc_state' in case of the failure.
