| Mbed TLS before 3.6.4 has a race condition in AESNI detection if certain compiler optimizations occur. An attacker may be able to extract an AES key from a multithreaded program, or perform a GCM forgery. | ||||
| CVE-2025-49133 | 1 Libtpms Project | 1 Libtpms | 2025-11-03 | 5.9 Medium |
| Libtpms is a library that targets the integration of TPM functionality into hypervisors, primarily into Qemu. Libtpms, which is derived from the TPM 2.0 reference implementation code published by the Trusted Computing Group, is prone to a potential out of bounds (OOB) read vulnerability. The vulnerability occurs in the ‘CryptHmacSign’ function with an inconsistent pairing of the signKey and signScheme parameters, where the signKey is ALG_KEYEDHASH key and inScheme is an ECC or RSA scheme. The reported vulnerability is in the ‘CryptHmacSign’ function, which is defined in the "Part 4: Supporting Routines – Code" document, section "7.151 - /tpm/src/crypt/CryptUtil.c ". This vulnerability can be triggered from user-mode applications by sending malicious commands to a TPM 2.0/vTPM (swtpm) whose firmware is based on an affected TCG reference implementation. The effect on libtpms is that it will cause an abort due to the detection of the out-of-bounds access, thus for example making a vTPM (swtpm) unavailable to a VM. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.7.12, 0.8.10, 0.9.7, and 0.10.1. | ||||
| CVE-2025-48965 | 2 Arm, Mbed | 2 Mbed Tls, Mbedtls | 2025-11-03 | 4 Medium |
| Mbed TLS before 3.6.4 has a NULL pointer dereference because mbedtls_asn1_store_named_data can trigger conflicting data with val.p of NULL but val.len greater than zero. | ||||
| CVE-2025-47917 | 2 Arm, Mbed | 2 Mbed Tls, Mbedtls | 2025-11-03 | 8.9 High |
| Mbed TLS before 3.6.4 allows a use-after-free in certain situations of applications that are developed in accordance with the documentation. The function mbedtls_x509_string_to_names() takes a head argument that is documented as an output argument. The documentation does not suggest that the function will free that pointer; however, the function does call mbedtls_asn1_free_named_data_list() on that argument, which performs a deep free(). As a result, application code that uses this function (relying only on documented behavior) is likely to still hold pointers to the memory blocks that were freed, resulting in a high risk of use-after-free or double-free. In particular, the two sample programs x509/cert_write and x509/cert_req are affected (use-after-free if the san string contains more than one DN). | ||||
| CVE-2025-39735 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-11-03 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix slab-out-of-bounds read in ea_get() During the "size_check" label in ea_get(), the code checks if the extended attribute list (xattr) size matches ea_size. If not, it logs "ea_get: invalid extended attribute" and calls print_hex_dump(). Here, EALIST_SIZE(ea_buf->xattr) returns 4110417968, which exceeds INT_MAX (2,147,483,647). Then ea_size is clamped: int size = clamp_t(int, ea_size, 0, EALIST_SIZE(ea_buf->xattr)); Although clamp_t aims to bound ea_size between 0 and 4110417968, the upper limit is treated as an int, causing an overflow above 2^31 - 1. This leads "size" to wrap around and become negative (-184549328). The "size" is then passed to print_hex_dump() (called "len" in print_hex_dump()), it is passed as type size_t (an unsigned type), this is then stored inside a variable called "int remaining", which is then assigned to "int linelen" which is then passed to hex_dump_to_buffer(). In print_hex_dump() the for loop, iterates through 0 to len-1, where len is 18446744073525002176, calling hex_dump_to_buffer() on each iteration: for (i = 0; i < len; i += rowsize) { linelen = min(remaining, rowsize); remaining -= rowsize; hex_dump_to_buffer(ptr + i, linelen, rowsize, groupsize, linebuf, sizeof(linebuf), ascii); ... } The expected stopping condition (i < len) is effectively broken since len is corrupted and very large. This eventually leads to the "ptr+i" being passed to hex_dump_to_buffer() to get closer to the end of the actual bounds of "ptr", eventually an out of bounds access is done in hex_dump_to_buffer() in the following for loop: for (j = 0; j < len; j++) { if (linebuflen < lx + 2) goto overflow2; ch = ptr[j]; ... } To fix this we should validate "EALIST_SIZE(ea_buf->xattr)" before it is utilised. | ||||
| CVE-2025-37796 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-11-03 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: at76c50x: fix use after free access in at76_disconnect The memory pointed to by priv is freed at the end of at76_delete_device function (using ieee80211_free_hw). But the code then accesses the udev field of the freed object to put the USB device. This may also lead to a memory leak of the usb device. Fix this by using udev from interface. | ||||
| CVE-2025-37794 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-11-03 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: Purge vif txq in ieee80211_do_stop() After ieee80211_do_stop() SKB from vif's txq could still be processed. Indeed another concurrent vif schedule_and_wake_txq call could cause those packets to be dequeued (see ieee80211_handle_wake_tx_queue()) without checking the sdata current state. Because vif.drv_priv is now cleared in this function, this could lead to driver crash. For example in ath12k, ahvif is store in vif.drv_priv. Thus if ath12k_mac_op_tx() is called after ieee80211_do_stop(), ahvif->ah can be NULL, leading the ath12k_warn(ahvif->ah,...) call in this function to trigger the NULL deref below. | CVE-2025-37787 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-11-03 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: avoid unregistering devlink regions which were never registered Russell King reports that a system with mv88e6xxx dereferences a NULL pointer when unbinding this driver: https://lore.kernel.org/netdev/Z_lRkMlTJ1KQ0kVX@shell.armlinux.org.uk/ The crash seems to be in devlink_region_destroy(), which is not NULL tolerant but is given a NULL devlink global region pointer. At least on some chips, some devlink regions are conditionally registered since the blamed commit, see mv88e6xxx_setup_devlink_regions_global(): if (cond && !cond(chip)) continue; These are MV88E6XXX_REGION_STU and MV88E6XXX_REGION_PVT. If the chip does not have an STU or PVT, it should crash like this. To fix the issue, avoid unregistering those regions which are NULL, i.e. were skipped at mv88e6xxx_setup_devlink_regions_global() time. | ||||
